This is a secluded hut that allows for a great view of the birds in Sandvlei. It is fairly large and can hold what I estimate is 10 people, though it is unlikely that so many would be there for photos. I was able to take photos with an 85mm lens, so 200mm should suffice for good photos of the local birds.

Hidden away in residential Muizenberg is this peaceful open space which allows you to come close to nature.Well-marked path and it's wheel-chair friendly.Be careful of people who sometimes let their dogs run wild, but it's a great place to observe birds on Zandvlei.Gates close in the evening so it's safe.

Great little place for a nature walk and dog walking.Birdlife is rather good in the days when the wind is not blowing.Cons: the vlei water sometimes stinks to high heaven.All in all, a good spot.

Beautifull hideaway make sure you bring your binoculars to spot those exotic birds with occasionally flamingos.
