Beautiful place. Great wine. We arrived closer to closing but staff was accommodating and friendly. This was one of my favorite stops.

With a captivating ambiance, wine tasting at Jason's Hill is an absolute must for any wine enthusiast. Excellent wines and to top off the wines, Inge, the wine presenter kept us intrigued with her wine tales.

What a fantastic little gem. They make the most amazing pulled pork burgers try it with the sweet potato fries. They compliment each other superbly. Enjoyed the stunning views. Staff are friendly and they think out the box and go the extra mile in customer satisfaction. We will be back!

Exquisite setting in nature, especially when enjoying a romantic meal on the balcony on a sunny day. Peaceful, relaxing, inspiring views. Great way to enjoy your meal or just expose your soul to the raw beauty of nature.

We did the wine tasting and cheese platter. A memorable, lovely experience with an attentive knowledgeable hostess. Beautiful farm with lovely wines and excellent service. If in the area, definitely worth a visit.

Awesome setting at the foot of the majestic mountains of the Slanghoek Valley. Wines are good quality presented by a friendly and knowledgeable host. Enjoyed the 2019 Chenin Blanc, 2017 Merlot and 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon most. Also serves a tasty cheese platter to compliment the wines. A relatively undiscovered cellar and wine region (Breedekloof wine valley) worth visiting. Good value.

We have visited Jason's Hill more than a few times as in my opinion the Chenin Blanc produced there is an outstanding wine produced in the Breedekloof Valley noted for it's production of Chenin Blanc. We were effusively welcomed by the lovely Inge (whose personality and enthusiasm match the wine). She immediately recognised us as we walked in. Sadly their flagship Chenin - Beatrix - was sold out, but we still managed to get their standard Chenin which is also excellent. Inge introduced us to their Arrois MCC made from Chenin and this too was exceptional. The cellar and the surrounding views of the Slanghoek mountains are stunning well worth the visit apart from the attraction of the wines.

This is a two part review. The first one is for the cellar, the second is for the hike that is part of the property. As someone who doesn’t drink alcohol, l can’t tell you about their wines but they offer wine tastings. The winery is set in a valley surrounded by mountains which form the perfect backdrop. The garden is serene and breezy with a lush green lawn, flowering bushes and indigenous succulents. Very pretty. The service is great with friendly helpful eager to serve staff. And within the valley are rows upon rows of vineyards growing sweet grapes that wait to be transformed into wine. It was lovely sitting under the tree and enjoying an ice lolly. A picnic under the tree makes a romantic spot for a day visit.A four star experience. The hike was absolutely sad. It’s a 6km hike that isn’t much of a challenge but it has some irritating aspects. The terrain in very rocky and because it’s so dry the rocks are very loose and that makes the descends dangerous. I hiked this trail in February, and it was a boiling 36 degrees Celsius. The hike has no trees above average adult height so that scorching sun beats all enthusiasm out of you. Even the views of the valley below full of rows of grapevines doesn’t soothe or comfort. All you want to do is get back to the cellars and get it over with. The last stretch of the hike is even more punishing as you walk on the dirt roads along the grapevines. The heat came from above and below as the sand reflected the heat back up.A one star experience.
