Woolworths Kyalami

I would like to bring attention to the dishonesty of the Woolworths bakery staff at Kyalami corner, which I discovered on 11 August 2022, upon shopping at the store. I was previously told by the staff as well as management on another occasion over the phone that no NON-HALAAL products are handled at the bakery section and they reassured me that everything was strictly HALAAL, however, when I visited the Kyalami Corner store on 11 August 2022, I noticed that there were ham sandwiches on display and enquired from the staff if these sandwiches came from the bakery section and was told that it came frozen and was baked in the same ovens as the other products such as pies, rolls etc. And I stress again, mangement assured me previously that no other meat products ever get handled in the bakery section and everything is Halaal. I am utterly disgusted at this dishonesty and more importantly, the major violation of my faith as I was deliberately mislead to believe that everything in the bakery section is Halaal and this includes no cross contamination between Halaal and Non-halaal. All muslim customers, please be advised of this and do not buy from the Woolworths bakeries in general!Further to the above, as per the uploaded pictures, I found a ham pizza im the Halaal fridge upon my visit today to the store to purchase Halaal meat. Make no mistake, I am not looking for any acknowledgement from Woolworths as they clearly have no respect for Muslim customers, which anyone knows, make up a big chunk of their customer base. The fact that they did not bother to respond to my Hellopeter complaint (of the above bakery issue) which I posted on 11 August 2022 is proof of this. This is just a warning to Muslim customers.

The staff are soooo helpful here. I was looking for hollandaise sauce, and 2 of the staff on duty took the time to browse all the shelves, then check the Woolies app and try to help me find it. Even though they don't stock it, I really appreciate the effort they went through. Also, their desserts are phenomenal.

Went into Woolworths now for groceries, disappointing that normally cashier staff are ready to help however now at 17.40, they are all bunched in one corner having a jolly chat and don’t want to do their job, actually asking each other to go and ring up for customers. Eventually 2 dragged themselves away from the crowd with much complaining. Management can just look at the frontline cctv …

Woolies Dash Bad Service : Woolworth’s service is serious degrading and soon will be a remanance of Eskom! We purchase on a daily basis from Woolies dash and have had several discussions with the drivers not to leave the order in the sun and to wait for someone to pick up the order. They need to ring the bell for attendance. Today the order was left out in the sun with fresh stuff spoiling from the heat already. The order was left for an hour? When we place an order we don’t sit around waiting on Woolies we have work of our own to do hence I didn’t even realize this until I checked the app for my delivery thinking the order was cancelled! Lack of attention to service etiquette is what has messed up our country and soon those premium brands will go as well because of the same!Needless to say we will not be supporting Woolworth’s #dissappointed #nolongerloyal #woolworths #woolworthsfood #wooliesdash

Woolies wow I have never had a reason to complain for the last 3 years till today when I was a costed by a staff member opening the door and screaming that I would have to wait exactly 4 minutes to get inside - WOW this has never happened before in the past if I was two minutes early they would let me in to sit at the coffee shop TODAY I was shouted at by this lady how terrible I won’t ever shop here again and I will let everyone know not to stop here’. Disgusting service……

Love shopping at this particular Woolworths. . A big store with very friendly and helpful staffThe restaurant however is another story. Service is terrible - aside from waiting to be seated there is always something that’s not available on the menu - today 2 items that I would of liked

Look, the food is good, but every single time we come for breakfast or even just a scone (which is already made), it takes a minimum of 25min to receive our order. I don't know if they are just slow in the kitchen or understaffed, but Woolworths Exco / the Kyalami manager needs to go and experience it for themselves and decide if this is acceptable

This store is easily one of the best Woolworths in Jhb except when it is full and busy. But I always enjoy shopping here because the staff are friendly and helpful.That said, I recently visited the W Cafe and was disappointed with the slow and absent service. Despite waiting over 20 minutes for a cup of tea, the food was well presented and tasty once we eventually received it. However, in my opinion, great service is just as important as great food.

Great position store with everything under one roof. Well stocked, friendly staff, not too busy. Ample parking.
