Close to Johannesburg, about a hour drive. Stunning views, amazing attractions. The dam is covered by hyacinth however certain resorts clear them out. Awesome activities for the faint hearted right to the adventure seekers. Tons of bed and breakfast accommodations as well as beautiful hotels.

I loved the quaint French restuarant that serves different types.of French toast throughout the day . The scenery is breathtaking and you can spend a relaxing day at Little Paris. One really has the sense that they are in Paris except with a South African touch.

Great scenery and tranquil atmosphere. You have to park the car and walk to get the perfect experience. It's just a bit hectic with traffic, so plan well in advance. But definitely worth the wait.

The breeze is so calming and the drive around the dam is the most awesome thing I have ever doneThe structure of the dam still looks awesome and very safe regardless that it had been build decades of decades agoI would most definitely redo this anytime and day if given a chance…Depending on the day you will be driving’s there if it is weekend I believe just have some cold drink or water in the car cause the other side it is a one way road and it must take you some time to pass cause of other driver driving slow taking in the tranquility of the dam

Great place to drive or stop by and have breakfast, lunch...there is alot of activities there...scenery is beautiful.
