Gariep A Forever Resort

A great camping spot next to the dam with tons of facilities and activities on the grounds. It has great ablution facilities, restaurant, tennis courts, fishing, etc.

Location is wonderful with spectacular views of the dam and a close drive to the dam wall. The resort is clean and lots of activities for the kids, we enjoyed the delicious pizza's at the restaurant. Be prepared for loadshedding as there is no alternative power source. Overall we had a pleasant stay.Rooms were neat and clean but may need an upgrade.

Had a nice stay over Christmas. Overall good experience and fun activities. Clean pool and facilities, except for Christmas. Unfortunately, there was little to no control regarding guests. Various vehicles of day visitors entered the overnight area for the day with multiple vehicles and taxis. Bathrooms were disgusting as it couldn't handle the amount of people. The racket they made were something else. Pity.Rest of the visit was nice.

The facilities were good. The service was excellent. Unfortunately we only spent one night. There is plenty for the children to do. It is evident that the chalets are in the process of being upgraded. The bathrooms are beautifully redone. The decor and furniture of the rooms is outdated and some of the beds need attention.

We camped. The place is stunning. Ablution blocks alwsys vlean. The only downside is the Ablution block is very far from campsites which are closer to the dam. We wete closer to the dam because we were fishing. Other than that, I can't fault this place.2019 we enjoyed their chalets. Very beautiful

We stayed at Gariep forever resort for one night whilst traveling down to Cape Town. Stayed in the 4 person chalet - the chalet is well equipped with everything you’d need, there was a thunderstorm the evening and the ceiling was leaking tho. We tried to make a last minute booking while driving down but it was impossible to get hold of reception. We tried our luck and just pitched up - hoping there will be availability which there was . This is a beautiful resort and the view of the dam is spectacular

Always a neat, well kept resort and camping facilities. Ablution facilities are always clean, the water is hot. This was my 4th time I stopped over. They are very reasonably priced. Other resorts charge double the rates, and the reviews on these resorts aren't favorable.

I recently stayed at the resort for one night and had a wonderful experience. The location of the resort is absolutely stunning, situated right on the banks of the Gariep Dam with breathtaking views of the water. The amenities at the resort were top-notch, including a restaurant.The staff at the resort were incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The room was also stocked with all the amenities we needed, including a mini fridge.Overall, we felt that the value of our stay was excellent. We loved that we were able to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. I would highly recommend the resort to anyone looking for a getaway in a beautiful location.

Most stunning and relaxing place. Good place to camp, fish, sail ⛵️ with 5 star staff treatment to visitors. Above that get to see one of the biggest Water reservoirs....Amazing indeed

Stayed here for more than a week.I went cycling every morning for about an hour. My wife and I launched our boat and went fishing every day. The launching facilities, accommodation, restaurant, cleaning staff etc. were all top notch. We really experienced a very relaxed vacation. Will definitely return.
