Milnerton Traffic Department

It took us 3 hours to make a learner drivers appointment! During loadshedding they are close. So, they dont work. Then after loadsbedding they work for an hoir and then close the doors right infront if the people. They are too lazy to work. They do not care how long you stand in a line.All the other provinces one can make an online booking. But not in the Western Cape!

Disappointing experience. Staff are rude and short with customers. I lost my ID a week ago either at Gallow Hill or at Milnerton. When I returned and asked the person at enquiries to check to see if it was in her draw, she just refused. Even though the draw was right next to her. She would not open it to see if it was there... her reason for not opening? Because we have loadshedding in 45 minutes... huh?There was also a internal system issue that they weren't able to resolve. I had to drive to Gallow Hills to cancel an application then drive back to milnerton to pay for my drivers. Survey a phone call could have solved this instead of making me drive over 50km?The instructor thay did my test was great.I feel that this situation could have been handled much better.

I went to renew my drivers licence on Monday (6 months pregnant). Another lady who was heavily pregnant as well stood in front of me. I was standing/sitting on concrete for 5 hours. When I came to the front I noticed the security lady letting people through in front of me who DIDN'T wait 5 hours in the queue then she also had the audacity to fight with me, pregnant & in lot of pain, when I voiced that I was before that gentleman who pushed in front of me. I would think it is common decency for a government department to be considerate towards woman who are pregnant. Just note if you are pregnant - do not expect special treatment - take water, a comfy chair/cushion, food and courage to the Milnerton Traffic Department.

Friendly staff and queues moved very fast. Van outside to take photos.2 photos (if need temp) fill in forms inside. ID, drivers and proof of address needed.In and out on a Friday in 1 hr

Had zero hassles here getting my driver's license renewed this past week. If you come with all the correct documents it flows super smoothly. I was in and out within an hour, and all the staff knew what they were doing. The cashier that helped me was also happy answering some questions I had too. Would definitely recommend using the Milnerton traffic department, especially for personal driver's license renewal.

Always a pleasure using this department. Friendly, professional,helpful and kind employees. It's clean and tidy. Easy to find. On public transport route. Outside there's affordable id photo assistance.

I am here on a Sunday and it's quick and very organised. Arrived at 9am, stood in queue for a while and it's 10:45 and I am about to pay! They have card machines!! Great place. Bring 2 B/W pics, R185... Proof of address.

3 hours ! That’s not good nor efficient. Let people book a 15 min time slot online - same as you offer at the Table Bay Branch for registrations. Only 2 cashiers for most of the morning.Bring a picnic basket and warm clothes :)
