Dannys Shoe Repairs

Service today was very disappointing. Wanted to get some sandals repaired and was told 1 week. After asking to have it done in 3 days due to needs was told it’s definitely not possible. Next minute whilst I am looking around the store, a young girl comes in and the shoe repairer has a different set of rules. Took my sandals back and went to the other Claremont boot maker who was much nicer, more accomodating and didn’t have two sets of standards for old people and young girls.

The best service someone could ask for. Lost my keys on the weekend and was able to cut my spare engine key despite having a failed attempt but was persistent and genuinely seemed as if he wanted to help! It shows that they knew what they were doing here! Highly Recommend! Thank you :)

Has been the most disappointing, shocking and rudest staff I have ever experienced in my life. Had a key cut which didn't work and went back to explain the key didn't work. Was expecting the man would at least see how to fix it but instantly met with arrogance, lied about the key was from another place even though I had a purchase receipt and saw him earlier in the morning and the final and most shocking thing he picked up the key and flung it past me missing my head by a fraction and quickly hid behind his workshop section. I can not believe this business can exist in claremont. Buyer beware and avoid this place at all cost. It's not worth it.

The family go-to for all our shoe repairs, shoe care, shoe accessory and key-cutting needs. Robert is 100% committed to providing the best shoe repairs in a timely manner. He’s been looking after us with the utmost respect for our shoes and care with a smile for us for at least fifteen years now, and we can’t imagine who will do a better job when he retires (don’t ever grow older, Robert!). Come here for experience and top workmanship. Robert works shoe miracles - including the most curly issues like softening excruciatingly painful firm leather shoes without damaging the leather one single bit - that other leather and shoe repairers would be hard pressed to do for you.

Destroyed an irreplaceable pair of hand tooled custom shoes during a simple retread. A bovine shrug with the excuse that it was, “just an honest mistake,” was followed by charging me full price to take my shoes away for my troubles. Dreadful.

Excellent service and quality. I was told by a repairer nearby that they couldn’t do anything for my favourite and well worn pair of work high heels so I tried Danny’s. Have just picked up the shoes and they look brand new. Very impressed.

Thanks for fixing my belt so quickly on my lunch break. Very generous and will be back again.
