What a wonderful experience! I took my boyfriend on his first ride. Debra was amazing and the horses were amazing.we felt very safe and in great hands. Spectacular scenery in Swelledam highly recommend hermitage horses !

I had such a great ride at Hermitage Horses this morning. Debra-Leigh is an excellent guide with loads of knowledge. The horses are in top condition and are well schooled. I would definitely recommend!

Deb was extremely insightful about horses. She was so calm, friendly and compassionate! Her horsies were so relaxed and well cared for - never have we felt so relaxed and secure while riding! The equipment was so comfy and the trails we went on were lots of fun with breathtaking views!!! We will definitely be back!

Deborah has a way of making one feel completely at ease- a relaxed and attentive presence. It shows in the horses, who I experienced as engaged, well-behaved and trustworthy. Riding with Debbie was a wonderful experience! We had no prior riding experience but the horses were so friendly and calm that that wasn’t a problem at all. Debbie has such a wonderful personality and is incredible knowledgeable when it comes to horses. She is a very patient instructor, and we trusted her every step of the way. The trail through the forest is gorgeous, and we are excited to come back and ride a different route next time!

What an amazing experience! The only difficulty is to decide, who is more charming - Debby or her horses...? All 4-legged creatures are most gentle and absolutely beginner-friendly while Debby offers perfect advise on how to handle them or explaining the landscape you‘re riding through. A must-do in Swellendam! We will be back!
