Fantastic learning space and friendly people

I believe I am only voting a single star because I cannot give them less than that. I believe in good marketing where the result is very much similar to the services provided. However at capsicum Cape Town it is the complete opposite. Having studied there in the past two years, I have realised that as much as we are exposed to some of the most amazing chefs there is only so much they can do in a space that only gives them so little to work with.I have taken my time to go through the reviews and I have realised that most of them are old reviews and judging from the fact that most of them are positive I do not take away that maybe throughout the years the school has deteriorated. As a student and fee payer, I felt as though there were fundamentals that are lacking such as the lack of functional equipment in the kitchen, the lack of fundamental ingredients to the dishes we are meant to be learning and the fact that they do not have space in their current location to keep a clean and tidy kitchen with all of its equipment functional. I was informed that the fees were inclusive of all expenses however I found myself having to buy scales, measuring cups etc on top of the 68K that was required of me.Furthermore, capsicum Cape Town students are undermined in the industry environment chefs from very good restaurants refused to take on students from the institution for work integrated learning due to the reputation that the school as. I feel as though the school is disorganised and lacks effective communication. The voices of the students are basically muted as management shouts down every complaint or claims that they are dealing with the situation only for the very same thing to happen the following year.I hope that the management takes this and many other complaints seriously, I hope that they take the moment to reassess and evaluate where the standard and quality of the school has been dropped since the year of their launch of which was over two decades ago in the year 2003.
