An absolutely delicious meal. Steaks were done to perfection and the waitress was very friendly and hospitable. We were accommodated without a reservation and will definitely visit the Grumpy Griller again.

Me and my wife went to go and get lunch, what we got was not just food but amazing atmosphere and the best service. There is no other place and we got a history lesson on the name and logo of the cute pitbull logo. We hope that there can be one branch in cape town some day.

We took our family there, kids read the rules on the website and it created excitement in them to have a new experience. In truth the rules are mostly a marketing gimmick to attract customers, probably oriented to adult friends going out at night than during the day. The left hand drinking rule is not for families who want to enjoy a meal out with their kids but more oriented to a night club audience that want to break the rule to drink more. Large TV's everywhere showing Sport only so that dads can exclude themselves for the family conversation again leaned toward a more party drink as much as you can while watching sport with minimal conversations atmosphere. What set me off the most is the price, we went for a midday snack and ordered nachos to share, at R120 it was more like a starter serving and if you wanted to add basic thing you have to pay extra. The chips are bland and lack that Mexican taste. I've received twice the amount at other restaurants and never had to add R5 extra for a tomato slice.

This is a steakhouse. If you do not want to eat steak don't come here! The menus offers steaks, pork ribs, kassler steaks and chicken kebab. That's it. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. The pork ribs were excellent. The Kassler steaks were too salty, but tastes differ. The chips are excellent! The place offers steak, egg and chips as their main meals. You go here to eat excellently cooked steak. Don't say I did not warn you.

The atmosphere is always different, I must say it depends on what time you go but it's always a nice place to hang out , it's better to go in groups of friends or family. I love the rules it adds a bit of fun

We celebrated my parents 60th birthday at Hennies George and what an outstanding restaurant and service, from the cleaner to management, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Thank you to Arnoldus, Deon, Lisa and team for an amazing experience. Outstanding service and very clean and great food. Well Done guys.

I’m an American and I’ve given up ordering a cheeseburger in South Africa because I’ve been disappointed too many times. I thought I should give Hennie’s classic cheeseburger a chance and I wasn’t disappointed. It was just like home! My husband ordered the ribs and they were fall-off the bone and succulent! Hennie’s knocked the cheeseburger and ribs outta the park! I look forward to trying the pulled pork on my next trip.

Food was very lekker.Service was better than average but I must admit I am super critical of service. The lady that served us was very friendly.Bathrooms were spotless.I think it would be a bit of a party venue at night. I was only there for a early lunch.I was very impressed with the manager doing touch up painting.
