Medicross Paarl (Medical Center)

Thank you doctor Slabbert for attending to me Saturday after closing time...That was really a kind gesture and and much appreciated...You promote the image of the medical profession and of the facility you serve.Will always come back...

Very rude and unprofessional front desk. Nurse/receptionist needs some serious people skills. Very importantly you are needing to learn to have more empathy for the patients coming to see doctors. Especially during this time of uncertainty. Very very disappointed and this is NOT the first run in with the same staff member. Why decide on a healthcare occupation when there is no caring towards the sick, scared people needing help.

I had an emergency on Sunday with a very sick baby. The receptionist has no empathy, remorse or patient communication skills. Before even asking about my baby’s condition or what time the doctor will be available, they said in a rude manner that payment had to be made upfront. When I said that is standard they pushed a form to me and did not even say anything else. When I had someone with me, and they wanted to go into the consultation room the receptionist advised only 1 person is allowed due to covid rules. However she was not wearing a mask and said it was her choice when I queried this with the her. Even though wearing a mask is mandatory by law. She said she did not need to wear one. Which is concerning given the fact that she is interacting with sick patients. This is a great facility, but I would recommend that when hiring someone to interact with patient and even at a basic level that their social skills and conduct should be evaluated. Interactions like this is what causes people to never return to a place again. Terrible service and no people skills.

The rudest receptionist ever. I arrived at exactly 10 past 12 on Sunday, knowing that they will close at 12:30. On my arrival she told me the Dr won't be able to see me because they are closed. However on the outside board the trading hours says something else, it says the open at 08:00 and close at 12:30. I'm very disappointed at the staff of Medicross Paarl. I suggest they change the trading hours online and on the board for future references.

ReceptionistI called in to confirm whether the dentist was available today. Not only was she slightly rude,but also provided the incorrect information. The dentist was not there. The other receptionists didn't even apologize for the incompetence and inconvenience.. in fact they claimed that it was impossible that I called in the first place as the dentis receptionist was not on site at all..as we were leaving I heard one of them say that there was someone that called about the dentist. Just goes to show- they're not truthful either

Thank you Medicross Paarl.I had the most pleasant experience at your centre.Receptionist were very helpful and welcoming, quick service and overall just great service.Also a big thank you to Dr. Ronel le Roux.I'll definitely be back.

I started a journey, with Dr Slabbert. What an incredible journey it is.Dr Slabbert have so much wisdom, care and integrity. We are proud top be as a family with Dr Slabbert. I will not change. He will remain our MD.We just have so much respect for him and his team of fellow doctors.Dr Slabbert also got this amazing new receptionist. I just wish the other receptionists might learn from her. Dr Slabbert, you are the best. but unfortunately i cannot say the same about the other receptionists.

Aaaaaa the debate of the receptionist..Who 8 months ago opened the exact file after my child contracted covid and i was new in Paarl, will today tell me it is illegal go give prescriptions if the details are not completed, although there is a word (use) under the spouse address as i am divorced and the dad is MIA and i do not know where he lives but my details as stated and in bracket (use) is on the file. Bearing in mind it has not been my first visit with my son nor his first prescription. However thank you to the doctor who squeezed my file in today for a prescription it is really appreciated. The doctors are the best but the receiving staff. Aai aai.

Most unfriendly, unhelpful front desk staff EVER!! I went back to Medicross after a few years due to a medical emergency and remember why I moved away to another practice. The doctors are friendly and great with kids, but the front desk staff are SO rude and makes you feel so unwelcome and treats you with disrespect. wow really poor service....

If I could give zero stars I would...the most rude and unfriendly receptionist ever. Our appointment was for 12:00 we were still waiting at 13:30. Rather go somewhere else...USELESS.
