Had a really nice stay here the other day. Lovely location, slap bang in the middle of Van Reenen, with a great view and lots of peace and quiet. Real family business vibe, with the personalised attention and help. Will definitely return!

Lovely place! It has everything you need for self catering. We stayed over on a very cold night and the host switched on the heater before we arrived so it was nice and warm inside. The lovely fireplace and electric blankets kept us extra warm. Theres a nice walk along the river and a lot of animals. We were lucky to see baby pigs. Jacaranda cottage has a great view. Relaxing peaceful stay perfectly located halfway between Pretoria and Margate.

The place is old and not adequately maintained. By that I mean that the structure is not properly cleaned although the bedding, bathroom and kitchenette were ok. The owners were lovely people but they have large dogs that are not properly garden trained! My wife and I had a very challenging day exploring the surrounding areas on foot. It was demanding but satisfying. It is located along the Van Reenen pass and this afforded us the opportunity to visit that historic village. The little garden cottage looked picture perfect and no matter what I liked our 2 days spent there.

We always stop over at Wyford Farm on our way back home from the coast. It has a true escape-to-the-country feel with quaint self-catering cottages, cozy beds and picturesque views. For the winter nights there's a fireplace and in the summer the small braai and stoep work lovely. We've stayed in the Jakaranda and the Garden Cottages and both were wonderful. The Garden Cottage is slightly bigger with a bath and shower and a small sitting room with tv. The kitchenettes are fully equipped for self-catering and both cottages have a refrigerator, microwave, two hob stove-oven and utensils.Whether it's for a peaceful weekend retreat or a stop over for the weary, you are guaranteed a special experience.

Good enough for a stay, not great to get there late, make sure you arrive before dark as the entrance to the place is tricky and road to get there requires a car that is not low to the ground.Other than that, clean and well kept.pay attention to the spiders and bugs, but remember you are on a farm so it is expected.Good value stop over.

We had a wonderful stay at Jacaranda Cottage, overlooking the pasture and the pond. Even a thunderstorm was an event, observed from the terrace. We did a wonderful outride on their well trained horses in beautiful nature. The hosts were so friendly!!!Yes, it's a farm and they do have dogs and a lot of insects there - that is what you expect when you decide on a farm holiday, isn't it?
