SAPS Camps Bay Police Station

Not engaging on the phone. Totally disinterested attitude. Sounded as if I was disturbing her nap. Not impressed at all.

I do not even want to give one star. Went there to get an affadavit to be able to drive my car as my purse was stolen. Total disrespect and lazy, don't care attitude.Cannot even mention the name of the woman because she did not have her name tag on. She said I can ask her for her name. It is illegal to not have a nametag.Later on a man came in with his epaulettes hanging loose and untidy. No respect for their profession. NO discipline at that place at all. She called him seargent!Things started to happen when I mentioned calling the area commander or Brigadier.The junior, Const. Mgxwati was the only neat and professional person there with the correct uniform and her nametag. As a junior though she did not say a word.Lots more were said but bottom line, this police station is a disgrace to South Africa and Cape Town and I am ashamed as an South African that overseas tourists go home with this picture in their minds.

The police needs a revamp. Both facilities and training. When you phone you feel that the operator is really bothered with your call.

My hubby and I dealt with Sgt. Okkers over the last two days. I wish to commend him for his patience and helpfullness during our dealings with him. His competence and friendly personality helped make the process as pleasant as possible!!

5.30 am and alarm goes off at police station. All neighborhood wakes up by the loud noise. It goes on for more than an hour. You call the landline and it is disconnected. How possible is it that a police station is unattended? There should be staff members 24 hours taking care of any possible emergencies even the ones inside their own station.

Very unprofessional. I needed general information and was treated very rudely. A certain (Sgt) Ntongama? was very abrupt and treated me with suspicion and disdain. So different from the treatment I got a year ago at Stellenbosch Police Station where the service was impeccable.

Thank you to the team at Camps Bay Police Station this morning. I reported bad driving and behaviour from a MyCiti bus driver and they immediately dispatched a team together with traffic control.
