umSisi House, 5 Star Country House and Villa

Not only is the location superb, with easy access (roughly an hour's travel in either direction) to various great locations (White River, Sabie, Graskop, Pilgrims Rest, Nelspruit, etc.), but the actual accommodation is clean, comfortable and is designed for relaxation (there is a hammock, a lovely deck to relax on and a Weber to use for an evening braai). The owners are friendly and very knowledgeable about the area and can provide great recommendations for restaurants or sites to visit. There is a daily staff service to wash dishes, clean and tidy up and it means that you really have to do very little. The area really has everything you need (restaurants, grocery stores, etc.), so you do not need to bring much along for a trip here.

What a fantastic place. It is so private 100%++++ what I wanted. The owners are so friendly and the staff A++++. I also loved the 2 dogs visiting me they are so cute. A must go place for sure

We loved staying @ UmSisi Cottage. It's near the Kruger NP, not far away from the Panorama Route and still okay to reach the Drakensberge as our next destination after White River. Amanda and Paddy were very kind and friendly. The cottage was very clean, bigger than expected and had a lot of privacy to sit on the porch and enjoy the lush green view. It was so quite and peaceful there. They have 2 really nice dogs. They would love to play with you. We felt very safe inside of the gate. You can go for a walk outside, if you have time. Thank you very much!

Umsisi House is a fabulous place to discover. The warm welcome from Amanda and Paddy when you arrive and during all your stay is just exceptional. With our kids and my wife , we have been impressed by the amazing garden so beautiful. Paddy is an excellent host and passed on his deep love of plants and nature.When you arrive you feel immediately at home. We had excellent exchanges with Amanda on many topics. It was our first time in South Africa and we have been amazed by the warm welcome of our hosts and the very professional staff.Very comfortable, very clean, amazing dinners and breakfasts prepared by our hosts. The place is ideally situated for travellers wishing to discover this beautiful part of South Africa close to Kruger National park.Thank you so much Amanda and Paddy, you are part of our great memories from our trip in Africa.

We had a wonderful stay in the cottage. Amanda and Paddy are such great hosts that go out of their way to ensure you feel welcome and comfortable. They also have the friendliest dogs that just added to the great experience. The cottage had everything one could need and more. Cosy, and so beautiful. The bed and couch are so comfortable and there is also DSTV if you feel like watching some tv. The view from the patio is just amazing! We really enjoyed sitting there in the evening listening to all the different animal sounds while enjoying a glass of wine. This is the place to come to relax and properly rest from the busy everyday life. We have been here twice now and will be back again and again!

lovely hosts and good location for game drives at Kruger NPWe stayed 3 nights at umSisi House. Perfect starting point for Kruger game drives. Numbi Gate only 30 minutes drive away. Amanda and Paddy are very communicative, helpful and warm hosts. They helped us with planning the game drives and had also hints for our further journey to Eswatini. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed the beautiful accommodation. Load shedding we didn't notice because wifi and hot water were available, the lights worked and cooking was possible. Highly recommended - Thank you for the great time.

Amanda and Paddy with her team are great hosts. umSisi is a perfect homebase for Kruger NP (Numbi Gate). Safe place and lovely dogs as well! Bonus: They gave us a hint for Sani Pass (Lesotho) - one of my best travel experiences so far! Amanda‘s Leopard photograph card found a good place in my travel book - great shot! umSisi is a good choice!
