I bought most of my son's stationery from Walton's in Glenwood. Thereafter went to the Walton's in Smith Street. I was only buying 3 items but asked if I could get a box as I have purchased the rest from another Walton's. The guy told me I have to show him a receipt then. Not mentioning that the box is to be purchased and it doesn't come free, because I assumed that he's asking for the receipt to see if I'm eligible to get the box. He told me the items are still not sufficient for the box. I said but I need the box, so he rings up everything and then told me that the box was for sale, not free, after I finish pay.My issue here is, if the box was for sale, why does it matter how much stuff I bought previously or if it's sufficient for the box or not. If I'm buying and PAYING for something, why does he get to decide which box I should or should not get.Asking me for my previous slip was so unnecessary and misleading. He just didn't understand what he did wrong when i explained that what was the point of the whole discussion and my slip if I'm paying anyways.The supervisor then said they don't sell to just anyone because when it's time for their customers the boxes might be sold out. I get that, but that should have been said first, and I was a customer and even showed a prior receipt.I should have been told, the box is R27, would you like one.Really disappointed.
