Every Diabetic needs to go to the CDE.Super helpful and friendly.I learned a lot from them.They are also very helpful about medical aid, as opposed to medical who never answer your questions.

Was at 2 CDE centers and had problems with both. The best story I was told is mielie pap must be cold for 5 hours before I can eat it because the bad stuff like gluten then dies!!? Really???

Absolutely appalled at the staff treatment of patients at the lancet laboratory in the centre. I needed to have bloods taken and arrived at 16:28 straight from work not knowing that lancet closes at 16:30. I walk in and I'm greeted by 2 nurses who don't say that they are closing but merely pick up their bags. If that was not bad enough a lady behind the window literally shuts it in front of me without saying a word. The other nurse then asks me to come tomorrow.I understand that they close at 4:30 but to be that rude to someone who walks in smiling and is need of your assistance is disgusting treatment. My profession has taught me that each patient should be treated with respect and empathy. I was not even asked if the bloods were an emergency or not but turned away.

My wife is a type 1 insulin dependent diabetic who uses the Freestyle Libre Sensor system to monitor her blood sugar. The system requires 2 sensors per month. We have been purchasing the sensors for some months now and we have found it to be a very convenient and accurate system. . Better than the old conventional finger pricking, test strip system. The last sensor we purchased was defective. I was told to contact the Abbot manufacturer, which I did, and after a lengthily claim authentication I was finally approved for a replacement sensor with a case no. I was promised they would deliver within 5-6 working days. I have no problem with the authentication policy as one has to establish genuine liability as good business practices. However where I do have a problem is once liability has been established, the service provider should compensate% accordingly. Clearly there is something wrong with this products' post sales customer care policy. Why should we wait 5-6 days to be given a replacement sensor especially since this product forms part of Chronic Medication? I believe the Central Pharmacy where we purchased the product should go out of their way to deliver a replacement unit asap if not the next day once the claim has been verified with the supplier. Really shoddy service - Not happy at all:(Update 28/1/2022:A replacement sensor was delivered to us yesterday morning . Thank you very much for the effort. Problem sorted

Being contracted into numerous medical aids, it is able to deliver holistic, specialist and professional care to diabetics throughout South Africa.I've been a member of their program for eleven years and recommend it to any type 1 diabetics I meet.

If I could give 0 stars I would.Staff are cold, uncaring, immovable and rude. I have been made to feel like a walking credit card with a file number attached to it.No more. Do not expect any assistance if you are unable to make a booking, they will not enquire with your doctor, or try to move things dont like it? Keep your appointment". Considering that patients at this center need the medication to not slip into comas and DIE

Great Centre for the treatment of Diabetes. The one downside is that they are not contracted in with the majority of medical aid schemes.

Very informative, efficient and well structured organisation, Their diabetes programme is world class. Their Dr's are compassionate, passionate and very open minded. Dr Leila Mayet is a god send. The benefits from a medicinal point of few are second to none. I should have joined the program years ago. Staff are friendly, and their pharmacists, specifically Nazleen Khan are always on point, quick and extremely professional, informative and just downright awesome.
