I used to enjoy popping in here to view the art. But lately the derelicts and vagrants lying outside has made it a nasty experience. Pleas AVA clean up your act outside. This used to be a wonderful walkway.

As a public entity it should have parking available for the public. City Centre parking navigation is the pits.

Their amateurish management of the sasol competition resulted in a desultory wet audience. I wish them luck for next year. They are going to need it

An established institution on the Cape Town art scene. Highly professional and organized. This is a place that you have to have on your list if you are doing galleries in Cape Town. Located centrally in an interesting part of town means that there is loads to do in the area. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Really disappointed by how the Sasol New Signature competition was managed.I went to collect my father's painting with a signed release form and proof of ID. They didn't ask for any verification and I was basically instructed to go and search for it in a room full of paintings. I could have easily walked out of there with any one of the paintings. Now, a few months down the line the same painting has started to crack where they placed the number card for the competition on the back.Clearly the painting wasn't handled with care and we will most definitely not recommend leaving your art work with them.

the gallery owner, a blonde german woman screaming at her partner does not make pleasant viewing or listening. save your dirty laundry for home and keep it out of the public eye.

Unorganized and a bunch of potheads running the place. I went on First Thursday and asked about hanging my art. They showed me who was in charge and when i approached him I couldn't make head or tail about what he was saying as he was stoned.
