Amazing week spent on a dream cruise.Not being a fisherman, I wouldn't have chosen this as a holiday destination.WOW, was I wrong!A week on the water, in a hotel room served by the best, and I had the thrill of catching a tiger fish.not to mention the once in a life time game viewing experience.do it! You will love it.

What a breathtaking weekend. Had such a lovely time with an amazing bunch of people. The crew was very helpful, quick and friendly. Good food and drinks. Watching game from your own cabin is such an unique experience. I loved every second of it. Thank you.

What an absolutely amazing experience. This is a bucketlist that everyone should do in their life. The food is delicious, the staff go out of their way, the Tiger Fishing, game viewing...EVERYTHING is beyond Wow. The effort Shayamanzi put into celebrating my birthday was so special and so personal. Thank you.

You might have heard about the fire on board of Shayamanzi I, the missed opportunity to evacuate, the very basic life vest and security equipment as well as several human errors in one of the many media articles. What you probably have not heard is our experience of inhumane treatment and unethical business behavior after the tragedy. Shayamanzi refuses any responsibility. After being asked for all insurance details in order to handle the huge damages, loss and suffering they still refer to a broker that meanwhile refers to an assessor who is also refusing to assist with an actual passenger liability cover insurance. Honestly speaking, I doubt there is a serious insurance at all as there would be absolutely no logical reason to hide this information weeks after the incident. They provided us with 2,000 ZAR pocket money to get out of the country after losing anything on their boat and didn't even consider to make a refund of our 40,000 ZAR payment that would at least has given us some options to make the necessary arrangements. The Blevins and Shayamanzi prove to be totally inappropriate to run such business. Imagine losing your dad and all your belongings and then the managing director Roger shows up, orders a hamburger in the restaurant and starts making jokes. This is the most disgusting business owner ever met. They tried to sell both boats and 100% of their Shayamanzi shares in 2019 with a public auction so this probably is another part of the story behind. Make your decisions wisely whom to trust your life and belongings!

We could not have asked for a better experience than with Shayamanzi!The crew was professional and accommodating with all guests of all ages and interest.The food was great (breakfast, lunch and dinner) but if you on a diet maybe rethink your plan as this is the time to relax and unwind and not to worry about your weight...lolWhen ever the fish was biting you would find the crew finding the right spot, and just to add to the time on the water we got to see some game that included crocodile, rhino, elephants and hippo's.We spent a weekend on board and we were very comfortable with our cabin - its big enough for our needs. The bathrooms on board was clean and working.Would I go back - yes please!

Possibly the best time spent, it was #epic!!! 1 for the bucket list, from tiger fishing to wild Elephants on the river banks. Wow money well spent guys!

My husband and I have been onboard the beautiful Shayamanzi Houseboat three times in the last two years, and every cruise has been fantastic! The food is delicious, the safari excursions are delightful, the Tiger Fishing is so much fun, and the quality of the private cabins and overall experience is 5-star. Thank you to the wonderful crew who make our trips exceptional every time. We will be back!
