Virgin Active Gym Lorraine

I visited the gym on holiday. Staff was very helpful in giving me a day pass. The equipment is well maintained and staff very friendly, thank you.

Good gym, friendly staff. Some equipment is outdated and needs to be replaced. Definitely has everything the average person would need, though. It can get too busy during peak hours, so they lack additional rowing machines and squat racks.

There are only 2 hairdryers and 2 GHD's supplied. One hairdryer and one GHD has been out of order for more than a week. With up to 22 people doing Aqua in the pool, many people working out upstairs, showers in constant use, this is unacceptable and totally inadequate to cope with the needs of the large membership. People need to go to work, go shopping etc after working out. Our membership fees have to be paid on the due date every month but in return Virgin Active service in this instance is really poor. This is a simple issue to fix within minutes. Slack service in my opinion. Where is management?

Great gym. Great people... Friendly and helpful staff. Staff are very positive and always available. Loving the swimming. Lots to learn still and everyday it's a step by step process.

Great all round gym. Proper 25m pool, full suite of cardio equipment and weights and weight machines are quite extensive. Really enjoy it there, and the Kauai adds a nice touch. The only negative are the toilets, there's often water all over the floor and they don't flush very well so are often dirty.

I have been visiting the Lorraine gym since the beginning of the easement of the Lockdown regulations.To say that the equipment is sub par is an understatement. It looks like machines you would get off gumtree or some online market place.The cushions are torn and they rip your clothes if you aren't careful. There's just an odour when you enter the gym and I'm assuming it's poor ventilation. The floor plan needs to be looked at by some professionals and set it up so that it guarantees good workout flow and also that it isn't so overwhelming for someone who's new to the gym (Lord knows you're not lacking in that department).I think it's time you invest in the gym, get updated equipment, stairmasters, new treadmills, etc. We love this gym and we all wants to feel included, at the moment it just feels like a garage gym where your neighbour on steroids trains to win all the trophies in his livingroom.

I enjoy this gym and have been coming here for some time. I am however very alarmed that recently all the roller towels besides 2 have been removed. This includes the equipment and hand sanitisers that went with them.To me this is a health risk!I am disgusted by the sweat all over the benches and equipment and I can’t find roller towel and sanitisers to disinfect the grossness.Virgin Active Lorraine make a plan.Decent health standards should always be a priority!

Staff is great but doesn't hide the fact of all the broken equipment and place being over full and you can't enjoy a workout without stepping on some toes. Same excuses when asked when stuff going to get fixed. Personal Training staff is great and reception always helpful and friendly.

I am a member. For the past 20 years, I enjoyed this place so much. They have THE best swimming pool and THE most professional trainers!!! Kim and Michelle are highly recommended for ladies and kids.
