We had a nice lunch and and had some wine tasting done at The Grillroom. The manager, Trevor was very friendly and welcoming. Checked on us a few times and made sure we were good. Beautiful view and the food was Devine.However, our waiter was not having the same energy. He made every request seem like a chore, as if he wanted it to be over and done with... Made it a little unpleasant

Our experience at the restaurant was not good. No generator or air conditioning on a 40 degree day. Certain menu items were not available due to load shedding. So many flies around us that we couldn't finish our meals, we had to opt for take aways just to finish our meals in peace back at our hotel. Really not impressed. Load shedding happens 3 times a day almost every day, if you aren't making allowances for this, you can't say you care about your customers.

I would not recommend this place. They have beautiful scenery but the service is horrible they took over 30 minutes to give us drink menus and note they only gave us because we went to the service desk to ask for them. after that no one bothered to take our order, we seat there until we left no one gave us any attention even when we called the waitress to come assist us she just ignored us as if we are not there. After a whole 1 hour drive to go to the place we left without having anything to eat or drink.

The new waitress at the Grill Room, can't remember her name, was absolutely amazing and our Burgers were great. Will definitely be back!

Great venue with much more than meets the eye. Wonderful restaurant awesome wines and conference facilities. Set in the vineyard with pristine garden.

Stunning views. great location. Has all the makings to be great, but missing ALL the finer details. There is no cohesiveness.The entrance to the guesthouse is almost through the back of the kitchen. It's very unwelcoming and often really messy during service.Staff are sweet and trying but they lack overall hospitality training that a good manager and establishment provides.I sat by the pool for 4 hours on a 34 deg day (literally next to the restaurant)...no one came to ask if i wanted anything or even knew i was there.No pool towels...staff looked confused when i asked for one. Took 3 tries.Next day ...pool area still messy. No one cleaned up or straightened loungers.Room didn't have coffee, when i asked a broken plunger was delivered.Restaurant accidently put bacon in the veg omlette.SPA was closed... with a big no entry red sign on a chain across the door! Looked like a danger sign .It really is a very beautiful location. Has all the right things in place but is severely lacking. Such a pity. I hope they get it right.

Stunning view, but the view can not makeup for the general neglect.Rundown.Not clean.Nobody on premises to let us in after the wedding we attended. (we told them we will be back late)The management and staff desperately need a wake up call and a lot of training regarding hospitality, maintenance and general tidiness.

Thank goodness for the scenery because honestly, that is the only thing going for this place! The management was absolutely shocking. We waiting for cocktails at the pizza restaurant for ages and then waited 2 hours for food at the grill room. When addressed with the management we were told that we would discuss this issue tomorrow".... the staff are fantastic
