Beautiful venue and surroundings. Good variety of local products. Friendly hosts with good advice on what to choose and information on passes in the surrounding area.

I paid R230 to see Jan Blohm Friday 21 April'23.Staff at the door were chaotic with the seating allocation and not very friendly. Then to sit next to a table of very loud people not interested in the show at all. We tried our best to politely get them to shut up. .. With no luck.I feel management should include in their opening welcome a reminder for all to please keep quiet during the songs or go outside to talk.Or even better to come over and ask them to quiet down.People should respect each other and Reed Valley should realize a unhappy customer is a lost customer.

Asara Wine Estate & Hotel
our stay in Asara was so disappointing.1-It start with the e-mail confirmation -At the email they wrote all of our credit card info, we asked them to delete it because it's not safe that all of our details are online. And when we arrive we were surprised to see that they printed the email with our credit card number although we ask to delete it.2-We asked for laundry service. We had maybe 3kg of laundry. When we got our laundry back we where shocked to find out that they charged us - 2,690 rand (!!!!!), 150 us dollars (!!!!!)We thought that it must be a mistake, it's not reasonable to pay for few t-shirts and socks almost the same amount as night in the hotel.3. The pool.....We went to use the pool and the water was so dirty and murky, needless to say that we didn't enter - We didn't want to take a health risk.Very disappointing that we paid for facilities that couldn'tBe used.So for conclusion,We couldn't celebrate our honeymoon in Asara in a proper way. When we tried to talk to managers we got no solution for our issues. Not recommend.

Asara Wine Estate & Hotel
Our stay at Asara for 5 days/4 nights ended pleasantly! After an absolutely necessary room change (be advised: not all of the “Feature” rooms have functional features; be sure to inquire before you arrive to ensure your room has what you need), in which the manager Nelson and front desk staff person Michelle were professionally courteous and generous to accommodate (in agreement with our assessment of the situation, mainly due to a uncharacteristic but serious lapse of service by the cleaning staff), we ended up having a heavenly stay in the Carillon suite! The room had EVERYTHING you would expect of a luxury suite, including an exquisite bathroom with dual showers and tub. The Asara estate/hotel grounds are immaculate and the views are as shown in the website photos—panoramic vistas of the Cape Winelands. The restaurant and wine tasting were pleasant experiences as well. But by far, the greatest accolades go to Bradford, the gentleman who greeted us warmly from the minute we arrived at Asara. He answered all of our questions, even showed us the hiking trail, and supported us throughout our stay. He was genuinely kind to us, which as black professionals and travelers, is a type of treatment we do not always receive (unlike “others”). He made our stay truly hospitable. Thank you, Asara, for a wonderful experience.

Bramon Restaurant Wine Estate Plettenberg Bay
There is gin tasting and the charge was R80 to taste 4 different offerings. Their staff is friendly and its right next to the N2 highway. The restaurant is further down the road. Their new flavour Honey Lime is a must try. For those who love hand made crafts, you can be sure to take away a souvenir or two

Asara Wine Estate & Hotel
I was dissapointed in the fact that we wanted to try the restaurant but was told it was booked for a conference..... We were out scouting for new venues...... we have a events business and DMC welcoming groups from all over the world.....We asked at the gate if we could eat at the restaurant...... we were told yes..... only to be shown away at the restaurant. Also the whole area looks unwelcoming..... let me explain..... the deli was closed....the place looks like it should stick to being a conference venue rather than a wine estate...... it just felt bland. Not recommended..... stick to Babylonstoren..... or Spier..... you will never be dissapointed. In a sector with massive competition....... this just does not cut it....

Leipzig Country House & Winery
An absolutely gorgeous view and stunning venue for a wedding. The staff were always smiling ear to ear! The food served at the wedding was incredible and I liked the fact that you could choose from a few options and everyone seemed to enjoy their food a lot. The cash bar was also affordable for a wine estate. We stayed in one of the guest houses for two evenings. The beds were really comfortable and we got a great night's sleep both nights. However, my fiancé specifically booked a room with a bath tub and we paid extra to get the room. When we got to our room, we were put in one of the other rooms without notifying us... Whether the mistake came from the Leipzig staff side or if one of the other couples quickly swapped out the names in the rooms before we arrived, we don't know, but we decided not to make a scene about it to avoid stressing out the bride and groom. It's just a bit frustrating because we booked far in advance and paid extra for the room just to not get what we booked.I would still recommend them as a great wedding venue to anyone considering getting married here.

Reasonable wines at reasonable prices. Some nice local olive oils as well.
