There are 3 options: 6km, 8 km and 10 km. The 6km is an out and back and the 8 & 10 km a loop. Distance determines time. We did the 10km in a leasurly fashion. Important: when driving on the R104 from Pretoria side, you have to turn sharp right to enter the hike. The signboard is facing in the opposite direction so you dont see it and once you pass the turn off google maps takes you on a wild goose chase way past the turn off. So you need to look back to see the entrance

Beautiful breath taking views and a very challenging 8km trail, going back for the 10km trail. You need to pay cash for hiking and there is a restaurant that you need to book for winding down after the awesome views. Had fun and would recommend it to hiking addicts out there.

We did the 10km hike. Was amazing and - quite tough but doable if you pace yourself. Bring lots of water and sunscreen. The views are stunning.

From the booking to the end of the trail, everything is clearly explained and the trail is clearly marked. You only need to attend the briefing once and next time, you can just arrive and start. The 8km is though during the summer so take lots of water and good sun protection.I would not recommend this trail on a rainy day as you will get some tough mud sections. Other than that, you have a mix of sand, rock and grass sections. The first 3km is quite easy and after that, buckle up. I would recommend some hiking poles past the 3km mark. Having a cold drink after at the restaurant is a must. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing.

Excellent hiking trail, well marked, good briefing at the start, clean facilities, secure parking and clear maps online to track actual location on route. Beautiful views and the rusty feather restaurant next door has gorgeous food to top it off.

I underestimated this hike and will definitely wear more comfortable shoes next time. One needs at least 2 litres of water. The views are breathtaking but it saddens me to see how people continue to litter in nature. I cant wait to go back and do it all over again.Toilets, snacks and water can be purchased at starting point.Be on time as briefing before the hike is essential to a start of a great day.Stay kind to nature, respect the earth and all its beings.

Enjoy the hike, they have 6km, 8km, and 10km.The first 3km is very easy, like a warm up. For those who wanna do 6km then they turn back after 3km. After that the hike start to get more intense and fun. Climbing up and down the mountain ⛰️ for 5km
