The food and drinks take forever to be served. The staff was not the friendliest and we had a very horrible experience with my friends and I. Definitely would not recommend. I'd opt for an alternative restaurant at the Gorge. The food was decent.

Cafe has a really beautiful view, food itself was average and slightly pricy.Service was was a bit slow, but I guess at a tourist place like this it is about par.

Lift Cafe is located at the Graskop Lift Company, opening hours 8.30am to 5pm daily. Conservation entry fee of R20 per person required to enter the Graskop Life Company area.The cafe has a large indoor seating area as well as outdoor seating overlooking the gorge. Menu is a nice range of all day food orders. We found waitstaff to be friendly and service just fine.During our visit we had two double espressos and a slice of carrot cake, everything tasted just fine. The carrot cake was soft, moist and mildly sweet.We were happy with our visit, finding the cafe a good venue for a coffee and snack break after hiking the trail into the gorge below. Will gladly stop by again the next time we are in the area and visiting the Graskop Life Company conservation area.

Oh the food, wow, I can go back just for the food. The service was good and it was just a short wait before we had our food, which was very delicious and more than enough for a platter for one.

The view from the restaurant is great, but I was a bit disappointed with the food. After paying R50 per person as an entrance fee just to access the restaurant, you still have to pay a lot of money for tiny portions. My husband's pizza was still raw and my roti was tiny, considering the price. The service was not too bad, but the waitress asked us to pay her tip cash otherwise she wouldn't get the tip, which was strange. We waited quite long for our food as well. The menu is also quite limited. This restaurant could really be top notch with a few improvements.

The waiter was very short and rude when seating us. The menu looked fantastic but after waiting 20 minutes for someone to get our drinks order, we went to the bar and ordered ourselves and decided to leave it at that. They weren't crazy busy at the time, that would have made up for the lack of service. If you can get past that, the setting is amazing and they serve glass bottled cokes so that's always a win.

After seeing so many bad reviews about Lift Cafe, we had no option but to come here because divine foods at the view was closed. We already had speculations about the place but to our surprise, the service was 5 star, the views were breathtaking and the ambiance was tranquil and serene. The staff were friendly helpful and the tables and floors were clean.

After viewing the beautiful sites of the Graskop gorge a cup of coffee from lift cafe was just what I needed. The coffee was great and the view from the cafe was equally as divine.However there were a few negatives.Upon entering we were told that the kitchen was busy and that the food would take long to come.While we accepted that - it took over 15 minutes for a waiter to assist us. It was only once we went to the counter to order did someone say they will assist us at our table. No one wiped our table off or ensured that we adhered to covid protocols.Coffee and drinks 5/5Service 2/5.This Resturant has the potential to be 5 star with better service.

We were not impressed with the service. The restaurant wasn’t that full however the service was very slow. One waiter seated us but it took forever for another to take our order and for our food to arrive.Had the cheese burger and it was lovely, really enjoyed it.
