If I could a 0 start ratting I would.Let me just say that thier photographers did magic and pictures are deceiving. If you go onto their website you'll be amazed but when you go to them you'll be highly disappointed.Firstly I went to this place to have a look at it as I was interested in hosting a small party with a picnic. The owner of the manager did not welcome us and when we asked her if we could have a look at the strawberry farm it was a straight up no. She was not welcoming and not friendly at all. The place looked like they weren't looking after the place, the geese were in their cages and not even in the water.I would never go to this place nor will I ever recommend it. So much for wanting to enjoy nature. I'd take my business elsewhere, thank you :).

Very disappointed. My daughter and i have wanted to visit Tangoroa for some time now. Upon approaching reception...Wendy on the patio...we were told it wasnt worth going in to collect strawberries as they were small and she had been moaned at by other customers because the strawberries were small and some eaten by insects! We weren't going to pay R120 to go inside and get Strawberries that werent there. So we decided to have lunch instead. Our waitress was sweet, but the table was not cleaned properly and she tried to clean ot with a tissue. Food was expensive for what we got, which was a toasted chicken! I could not recommend this place.

Had lovely time today with kids and friends at the Strawberry Farm. The strawberries tasted so good, the staff are all so friendly, especially to the kids. We also had lunch there, the strawberry cheese cake was very good. Overall loved the experience.

The experience may be a bit on the pricey side, but I found it strangely enjoyable searching the fields for the most beautiful strawberries I could find. And these are by far the best tasting strawberries I have ever tasted.

This is the place to be! This Spa rocks, it's great value for money...the therapists are very friendly and yet professional. The atmosphere is great and the food is excellent.

Like the start of many a horror film the day began as an innocuous trip to the countryside, in this case Tangaroa Strawberry Farm. The garden setting seemed tranquil and having arrived hungry we decided to have lunch first. We ordered fresh strawberry milkshakes (which were great), alongside 3 salads and 1 chicken strips & chips. Simple enough. Alarm bells however began to ring when the serenity of the garden was punctured by arguing & shouting from inside. Then 1hr and 15mins after ordering 3 “okay” salads finally arrived, the chicken however was nowhere to be seen. When asked how much longer it would take, the waitress admitted she didn’t know what was happening in the kitchen?! Over 1hr 30 after ordering, the chicken strips finally arrived - totally raw?! The servers were apologetic and said they would get the manager. However the manager was clearly too busy to bother and after a further 15 mins of waiting we asked for the bill. The staff removed the price of the uneaten raw chicken strips and compensated our water (R88) as a gesture of apology/congratulations for dodging the salmonella bullet. Needless to say for such a long wait to then be served food that can only be described as hazardous deserves a one star review at best.Don’t say you weren’t warned…

Would not recommend. At all. Unfriendly staff, run down farm, no sign posting. R300 for strawberry picking (for two), walked a good kilometre to the strawberries and were left to our devices. No tour, nothing.

The place itself looked a bit rundown no proper direction signs, animals were in cages, then the options are basic, staff were not intrested, the fields themselves looked run down and dry lots of rotting and worm infested fruits, Be sure to pack a sunhat, sunscreen, wear sneakers, and bug spray. tip keep water in the bucket it also doubles to rinsing your hands. Better crops are at the far end of the fields. The restaurant the staff were delayed and we waited 30mins for just water. The food is overwhelming but not entirely worth it, waffles are the frozen ones and they overload it with the toppings.Maybe try making fresh waffles less toppings, more simple and tasteful than big and tacky.

We visited the restaurant this past Monday (Human Rights Day). We got there around 10:30 and was greeted by a friendly staff member and scenic views of the gardens. The restaurant was empty. We asked for a table for 2, ordered drinks (2 cokes) and then mains. We ordered chicken livers and their T Bone steak special. Over an hour passed with no delivery or an eta. When the food did arrive, the wrong order was presented, over cooked, tasteless and absolutely horrible! The food was stale, like it had been frozen for months then defrosted and served. The waiter looked confused when I mentioned the food quality. After this disappointment, I requested the bill. The bill comes however they have 'problem with signal' on their card machine! Bear in mind there was no loadshedding issues in South Africa on this day!I was told they don't know how long this will take. Someone wrote banking details on a dirty piece of paper which I was given.I could have easily said I also have 'problem with signal' and not paid.In my opinion rating out of 10:Food quality 0Service 0Seating 3Staff 3Huge disappointment.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Please never book a room to stay at the guest house. The rooms are disgusting and the service shocking! I will never go back there and in fact I want my money back. After staying there for the night out of necessity because if I could have gone home I would have but it was pouring with rain I realised exactly why there are no pictures of the rooms on their website. Dirty carpets with a bath in the room and dirty bathroom how much more disgusting can you get. Please never stay overnight. The other reviews here are correct the photographer that did their website photos of outside really did more justice than they deserve.
