The tours offered by Africa Silks farm was pleasant albeit extremely expensive for what you get.Pros:Friendly tour guide.Cons:Expensive tours.The road to the farm is terrible.As of 06/11/2017 the coordinates on google maps are incorrect and will take you to a logging camp on a 4x4 trail.

The right one is approx. 3km before the one suggested from google when coming from graskop

Interesting visit

A must go for ladies, women who want a retro, elegant yet functional every day dress. Experience and friendly owner dress up my few girls friend and gone crazy with their new dresses.....

Fabulously interesting tour, extremely knowledgeable staff taking us through their process and comparing it to the international equivalents. Hands on walk through of the complete production, the kids even got to touch and feel the worms. The weaving side is better viewed at the shop in Graskop that we visited just before. Rustic setting with shop and restaurant - we didn't eat there so can't rate that part. The road is gravel and could be a bit difficult in the pouring rain but we got there quite easily in the drizzle. The only reason it doesn't score 5 is the AV presentation could use some work and it would be difficult for large groups to see the screen. It's on the pricey side from an admission fee perspective (320 for 2 adults & 2 kids) but when you understand how labour intensive and difficult the work is, it isn't expensive at all.

A visit to the African Silk farm between Hazyview and Graskop is worth a visit. The tour is approximately forty five minutes long. The friendly tour guide, Busi, lives her passion and shares the entire life cycle of the silkworm. Very informative.On site they show one every stage, even demonstrating how silk is woven. Silk garments, duvets, scarves, etc. are sold in a small shop on site. The main retail store is based in Graskop. After the tour one can enjoy some light refreshments at the onsite restaurant.
