What a little gems. Not far from Swaziland Oshoek gate. The owners are off the grid with solar In the houses, gas geyser and a spring for water. You can hear a small stream from the newly finished guest house while enjoying your freshly made coffee on the stoep watching the sun set. Forest’s surround the property and sets the theme for rocks and roses adventure. You can go for a forest hike about 7 km to a forgotten garden of a old house nearby and continue to a waterfall to the east of the property. Dinner was a great experience. Lamb meat with patates, pumpkin tart and cream spinach. Fresh salad with homemade cheese. All from the farm. Nothing shop bought. Breakfast was so fresh they had to fetch the eggs from the chicken coop. The sheep keeps on looking at you when you walk pass. The owners have built the farm up over the last 30 years. They are very friendly and good hosts. Ideal for women break aways, bikers, couples and larger families. I can highly recommend Rocks and Roses.Thank you Colette and Gerhard

We stopped over at Rocks and Roses on our way to Kruger from Durban. Our hosts Colette and Gerhard were most welcoming and Gerhard showed us all over the farm feeding the pigs, sheep's and chickens. Our children loved it. Colette made us the most scrumptious breakfast.

It was a pleasant surprise, from seeing the Signboard at the road, the slow descent to the B&B with its scenery and it's breathtaking views of the forests and mountains, waterfalls and stream running through the open field.Off the grid" electricity supply with no interruptionsHot water supplied with fire made in the "Donkie"Farming surroundings providing a tranquility one can sense and feel.A "home away from home" where nature loving people can kick down and relax

If you're looking for accommodation in the area, you can't go wrong with this B&B. Indeed, it's worth driving a little further so you can stay here. The hosts are welcoming, available, flexible, and kind. The property is a working farm with gorgeous views and plenty of spots to explore by foot. The rooms are warm, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed with everything you need to relax for a night - or indefinitely. Breakfast was serious value for money, delicious, and filling. We're definitely looking for excuses to return for a longer stay.

An absolute gem. With breathtaking sceneries, the tranquility and stillness of nature, the singing of the birds, calms the restlessness of any mind, the warm greeting like a long lost friend, even before you reach the farm house. Makes this a must see, but and experience you have to share with loved ones.I will most definitely return and frequent them.

Located about 20 km from the Oshoek border post between SA and Swaziland on the SA side. A short but rugged dirt road takes you to the farmhouse. It is a beautiful setting. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. The room clean with comfortable single beds and a shower. Only solar power so the small fridge is only run in the day. Price was very reasonable. I will definitely stay over again in the future.

When we had to travel to Eswatinin (Swaziland) for a one-day business trip, we looked for a place near the border that was pet-friendly.When we booked a room at Rocks & Roses, we never thought about things like scenery or the disposition of the hosts. We were just looking for a place to spend one night.Boy, were we blown away by the scenery! My first thought, when looking out over the stunning valleys and partures, was that it felt lilke standing inside a Windows Wallpaper!"We found it hard to believe that scenery this stunning

I liked the place, kind of quaint place with solar and everything. Nice paths around the farms for a peaceful walk and chill, especially if you follow the stream. The food was okay, and hospitality great. I had a problem with the heaters though, because that place can get cold, damn! But am sure its something they will manage to improve.

Absolutely fantastic host! She is a very warmheartet and nice person. And the dinner she cooked for us was just delicious, with fresh lamb from her own farm. The room is clean and lovely with a comfortable bed and cozy blankets, fridge, tv, hot water, everything you need. Wifi free available. Safe location. Nothing to complain, we would definitely go again!
