Good Day,I receive great service from the Madeline BnB.When I visit Durban I always stay in Madeline groove BnB.The welcoming was great,My room was perfect and theres friendly staff.Keep up the good work team.

Madeline Grove Bed and Breakfast
The decor and room were good but the service was terrible. The guy who checked us in couldn't speak English. There were two bright lights facing in to both windows in the room so we struggled to sleep. There were no block out curtains, just slated blinds. When we tried to request a late check out, the staff asked us to contact someone who has nothing to do with the place so couldn't help.

Very Neat and nice looking accommodation, however the other guest during our stay were horrible, no control over the noise of inconsiderate guests and the wooden floors are the worst! If there is anyone on the level above you it's like a herd of elephants and at 2am when you trying to sleep that's a problem.

Madeline Grove Bed and Breakfast
Firstly, we booked online according to pictures provided, once there we were taken by security to several different rooms which already had guests belongings in there. Secondly, once at reception they told us one of the rooms we saw was indeed our room but there was just a change in rooms with the other guests. We were shown a room where they had a make shift bathroom (converted closet) basically in the passage and cockroaches running across the room floor. Being our first night in Durban We decided to cancel our booking and stay somewhere else.

All is good but the fact that I almost had to share a bathroom is not okay. The setup upstairs has 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms and the last day they wanted to move me for a new client checking in then I had to share a bathroom.The entrance to the parking bay is through a small alley with no lights so it feels at night a bit dodgy.

Very friendly and polite staff. Basic and limited breakfast options but works for the price you pay. Rooms are rather tiny and parking space can be a problem with chances of getting parked in or parking someone else in. A short walk to Florida Road was a plus. The noise from neighbouring houses/apartments is a cause for concern.

The rooms were neat although I feel the website is misleading as the rooms are not entirely as pretty as on pictures. Not once did I see a cake on their breakfast menu, that was also a let down. Either than that the place is OK (just Ok).

The establishment is nice and the staff is friendly. The only reason for the low rating is the excessive noise levels from the neighbouring properties which resulted in about two hours sleep. Great if you are insomniac. We had to check out earlier than planned and move to another guesthouse. If the noise levels doesn't get sorted, you will lose customers.

Friendly,helpful and kind staff. Facilities were basic but functional,clean and definitely value for money. Breakfast was good. Location is absolutely perfect within 100m from Florida Street. Homely, comforting ambience with tropical garden setting. Highly recommended
