Exquisite food with a well balanced and delightful wine pairing. The service was engaging and well paced with an unparalleled view of the Helderberg. The experience was joyful and relaxed all round. Bravo!

Stunning location, in a stunning building. Top notch food, we had the 4 course tasting menu, and friendly efficient service to match. We went for lunch, and would like to visit in the evening, as the views at night must be equally spectacular. Highly recommended!

Visited the restaurant on a windy Saturday for lunch in November. The drive up is spectacular, winding up between the vineyard and the backdrop of the Hottentots Holland Mountains, on your right, and as you get high enough, you catch a glimpse of the ocean.Just getting to the restaurant itself is a pleasure :).The establishment has a generous and relaxed yet sophisticated lounge area, (with a fireplace for the wintertime), and a cute little window looking out at the ocean for two.The cocktail/drink menu is rather limited, and the serving of my margarita was on the micro side of things but enjoyed it nonetheless :).The MCC was possibly the most affordable price I have come across! The food is impeccable! Portion sizes are excellent! Just enough to ensure you get through all the courses without needing to roll out to the car.I must mention their 'special butter' I forgot what's called, but they need to package and commercialize it! It's light, airy and creamy, also used in their desert. The only thumbs down was the octopus course; it was chewy, overcooked, and way too salty.Overall, some staff may need training on the prep of the food, but very welcoming, kind, and attentive.9/10. Its worth it.

Stunning location and helpful staff. I prefer the food served at other restaurants of Bertus Basson. There were a couple of flaws, like the over salty tofu starter, not pleasant. Or the Pomme Dauphine, just not tasty enough. Still I’m happy to suggest this restaurant for an nice experience

Christmas in my family equals Family day. A day we get together and reflect on a year and be grateful. Also talk about new year.We booked at Chorus recently opened . More than a silver lining for Bertus Basson and his team. I remember experiencing great Overture resryrant and when they closed it after 15 years of great dining, I had tk make peace. Then Bertus Basson decided to open a new restaurant at Waterkloof Wine Estate  called Chorus.“We are excited to reveal that the silver lining to Overture’s dark cloud is called Chorus, our new restaurant opening at Waterkloof Wine Estate in Somerset West on 18 October 2022.” – Bertus BassonDining:As for the menu, Chorus   serve  a seasonal four and six-course menu, and ask for Bertus’ signature soufflé in the  the dessert menu. The wine list celebrates Waterkloof’s wines, but also include fine wines from some of South Africa’s other top producers.“Our focus will be simple, focused, seasonal cooking, where the menu is dictated by ingredients. We cannot wait to share Chorus with you.” – Bertus BassonFor us as a family we had a set menu from Canapés, bread service, 1st cours3, 2nd cours3, main ciurse and multiple sides, dessert.  Four courses were R925 pp.Service:If you have been an Overture guest , you will be pleased  to see some familiar Overture faces at the Chorus heading up the front-of-house team at Chorus. GreatEnergy and vibe:Space is well designed, open and airy. The views are amazing,  from wine farms to sea view.  Decor elegant and simple lines. Mostly wood and leather which watms up the concrete walls. Lots of great natural lighting. The energy  is light and easy.Other:Chorus is a non smoking resturabt including E cigarettes. They akwats asking patrons to he considerate of fellow diners while using mobile phones.Inclusion:Suitable fir all foodie types. They do their best to accommodate food allergies, but their menu is small seasonal, fresh and subject to change. Dishes may contain traces of allegfebs including but not limited to nuts wheat, shelfish, soya products, eggs and dairy.Best you call in advance and notify Chorus of any dietary requirements. There are oarking soaces for persons with disability.

We loved the experience of going here, from the friendly warm greeting by name until the moment we left with a box of turkish delight as a gift.We opted for the chef's six course, one with and one without the wine pairing. The dishes were served in quick succession, so pace yourself and enjoy the meal before the next one is on your table. Seamless table service made it so you never wait and the right knowledgeable person served the meal to give some information or highlights of the dish. Sommelier was very well informed, and the pairs were impeccable.Based on our experience, we will definitely be returning. We did a late dinner, and I do believe part of the magic of this restaurant are the views.

Yet another amazing dining experience, we had the 6 course option and every dish was flawless. The amount of skill shown by Chef Marcus and his team was evident and the abalobi fish with cucumber broth and soy dressing was out of this world. The chai spiced souffle was perfection on a plate! Front of house service was impeccable, the staff are incredibly professional and knowledgeable. A memorable birthday dinner and definitely not our last visit. Highly recommend, if we could give 6 stars we would.
