I sent my washing machine in for a spider-arm fault which they fixed, but it came back with two other things that they broke in their workshop. They come to fix the one fault and now twice try to fix what they have broken and still not fix… Bad workmanship and still no phone call from owner to apologise or a solution to fix the problem which they have caused. I would not recommend them for any problems.

Brought a broken freezer tray to get it replaced, told they couldn't help me without a model number. Drove home and phoned them with the model number.A new tray arrived a week later, and they didn't believe me when I told them it looked too small, the whole office chimed in that the part is definitely correct(I didn't bring the original part since they said they couldn't help me with it previously).Got home, tray too small.Turns out you can't really rely on defy.

I live in Kenton on Sea and have promoted Defy products for years. I have no complaints about the ability of your Defy service agents either. But I have a very strong complaint about your method of charging and invoicing for servicing. As I have several clients who have Defy appliances which I have recommended they buy because you do service them. However to charge a call out fee of R450 for each and every client call in the same small town is exorbitant and that this has to be paid in cash including the cost of the part which is probably in the region of a R1000.00 or more and expect that to be paid in cash as well is ridiculous when this could quite easily be done with an EFT payment.Your Agent only comes through to Kenton mid week and may not always have the necessary part, so you have to wait another week or more before the machine is repaired. But if he does have the part and I have say two clients with machines that need servicing, I would be expected to pay out in the region of R 3000.00 in cash! As the ATM's are often broken down here, it is extremely difficult to access this amount of cash and I also need to ask my client for these funds. This was not the way Defy used to operate with other service agents in this area. They would give me an Invoice in a civilized manner and the account would be paid by EFT either by myself of my client. I would like to speak to Mr Greene about this please who I understand is in charge of the Service Dept in Port Elizabeth. Thanking you in anticipation

Pathetic service. I've been waiting 7 months for a response. I've followed up regularly, but to no avail.I'm not sure whether it's lack of capacity or lack of competence. Either way, it needs to be rectified.

Defy parts department never seizes to amaze with their incompetence. This morning they called informing me that the parts I have been waiting for a longtime has arrived. This afternoon the lady informs me her client is more important and I have to wait for whenever.I just had no words to reply to their arrogance

The parts I bought (caps that fit on the gas stove tops) was not the right size and I was told to hang on to the 2 I bought until they get the size I need.I'm still a waiting on the call to say my stove caps arrived but its already the 2nd month and I'm still waiting. Will update this review and stars depending on the outcome of the response from Defy spare partsHopefully it'll be soon

Been trying to get through to the reception and parts/repairs number., just rings. Google says it's open but I doubt it, even though i was told that rhey are open during Dec. Nobody answers the phone. Last week I phoned and the woman said I can't be helped if I don't know the model number... have no clue where to find a model.number for an oven that is sold at Game, Makro, house & Home etc. Lousy aftersalea at best!

Great improvement for last 2 visits. Ratings fromThe only disappointment is that that a International company like defy had to resort to buying good rating and reviews on Google. (If you give them a good review they will give you a discount on your purchases)Sad - very sad
