What a peaceful and tranquil log house situated in a forest setting overlooking a lake. Unbelievably calm and relaxing with 5 star service from Colin... Meeting all our requests. From checking in early.... Chopping firewood and accepting packages on our behalf! One of my favourites by far!

Very peaceful location and adequately furnished chalet. Colin gave excellent service and was very helpful. Worth a stay! The only drawback is poor cellphone reception and no wifi, although it was a blessing too!

Loved BrambleBerry Cottage in the Natal Midlands quiet, tranquil peaceful outstanding view overlooking the Dam from the wooden Log cabin. Inside is just as magnificent as the outside. Throughly enjoyed our weekend getaway well worth it, a definite must for the entire family. Value for money the decor & wooden furnishings are beautiful the staff, are friendly & polite. Wondered throu the Dandelion patch absorbing the sun rays while I sat among the dandelions spending some meditation time. Google BrambleBerry & book your next vacation. So loved hearing & seeing the train passing by. I was in my element a photographers delight. Smelling the perfume from the water lilies as they float right up to the waters edge.

Beautiful scenery and very relaxing spot. Cabin was fine - could do with some maintenance but still comfortable.Note: Almost no cellphone reception which is great if you want to totally switch off but not so great when you are 2 people alone on the property.

We enjoyed the most amazingly tranquil getaway. Well appointed lakeside wood cabin with cosy fireplace and other heaters for the colder days. Colin did an amazing job of looking after our needs and requests, a real asset to the team. There are some steep dirt roads leading to the cabins so if it is rainy season, we would suggest you leave your vehicle near Colin's residence and have him help you carry your luggage down to the lakeside cabin, unless you have a capable 4x4 vehicle. We look forward to our next visit.

The shower is terrible! It is ridiculously small. I'm 46 kgs, 156cm tall. My elbows hit the walls more than once in the shower. The hot and cold water is difficult to adjust. I didn't enjoy the shower at all.No Wifi.No cellphone signal of Vodacom or Telkom. There's no telephone in the cabin. I woke up in the middle of the night fearing that if something happens, we can't call for help. The bed is too hard. My whole body is sore the next day.The road is not tarred and bumpy.Kitchen is well equippedChairs and couches are soft and comfyFireplace is nicely arranged with lots of extra wood and firefighterThe surrounding is beautiful and peacefulI would love to come back here if a few simple changes are made.
