Hartenbos Beach
Amazing beaches. Just wonder how useful lifesavers are. They are sitting under their tent and on their phones 95% of the time. In between chatting to friends. While people and kids swim way outside designated flags. Maybe something to look at. Or consider for future festive seasons.

Besides being a local to Hartenbos, the Beachfront is something to be seen and experience. Our weather/ climate is rated amongst the TOP 3 in the world, making this an awesome destination. You have a Mall @ the beach, with all sorts of amenities, shops, restaurants, etc. This is surely the place to be.

Beautiful beach all year round. The water is warm and great for swimming. The beach is always clean and very safe.Over the summer holiday season in December it gets a bit crowded- but I enjoy the holiday vibe. It is lively.

Hartenbos Beach
In the area there are numerous beaches to choose from, each offering something a little different. Some are smaller, quieter, or perhaps closer (often walking distance) to where you are staying, but the Hartenbos main beach is great. It is expansive, clean, beautiful and great for swimming. It's also right by the Hartenbos Seafront with lots of shops and restaurants, if you want to grab something to eat or have an errand to run before heading home. The further you move away from the main beach the quieter it gets, if you want more privacy, however the only bathrooms I could see were at the Seafront itself so it might be a good idea not to stray too far away. Parking (outside of high-season) is not an issue as there are numerous areas where you can park your car and walk down to the beach. But in high season I recommend you get there early as the spots can quickly fill up, and if the weather is great people often spend the whole day there. This is definitely one of my favorite beaches and I look forward to a swim there again in the near future.
