VA N1. What were you guys thinking with the upgrade"?. The sauna is gone

Thank you to Que Abrahams, for your prompt, professional and friendly assistance to cancel our contracts. It is not everyday that someone follows up when they say they will and provide friendly customer service. You are a true asset to Virgin Active.

Issues:1) Lack of helpful staff in the training area to assist people using the machines.2) Lack of abdominal exercise machines - There's only 1.3) Gym needs to extend - with the number of people - This Gym needs more space - they should extend the upper level.4) need a more proactive way to sign people in when servers are offline - Should get backup power for the servers during load shedding5) Machine is broken for over a week - still not replaced or repaired.

A great big thank you to the staff of VA N1 City for accommodating my daily guest walk-ins on my vacation.Great facilities, much improved with the remodel.

I am appalled at the way Virgin Active conducts their business.I joined in September and paid the R550 registration/admin fee. We are on Vitality and as such, we were supposed to pay R124 p.m. From the 1st of October (and each month since), I have been billed the FULL R550. I had to dispute it on my banking app since it is INCORRECT. Each time, I need to pay a dispute fee which means I have wasted more than R200 now because Virgin Active cannot do operate in the appropriate manner.I cancelled my membership with them after I told them that the salesperson never gave me any contract or paperwork to sign and he did not explain ANY details of the contract to me (other than the R124 that I had to pay per month). I sent them all our communication.I have contacted the manager at their N1 City branch AND head office. Yet, each week, they phone me at least once about this situation. What else can one do?

It's awesome... Good music, good people, great facilities.

Not a flagship gym but the staff more than make up for that. Polite and always available to assist. Equipment is somewhat outdated and the showers, change room and lockers require modernizing. It might not be the best equipped gym in the Virgin stable but you are guaranteed a clean environment in which to train.

The gym is beautifully laid out. Very compact. Getting the most of what you need in one space. This is a great one to check out for the seriously active people or those looking to start out.

I love how bright it is and that there are two weights areas. The club-v is lovely and bright and the staff are friendly.
