VCR repair service

Lovely lady on the phone, but the guy (I assume the owner) is one of the most arrogant people I’ve met who has limited customer service experience. Makes you feel very uncomfortable and stupid and takes no accountability for poor workmanship. If you have standard run-of-the-mill electronics, maybe this is somewhere to go if you are desperate. But if you value your equipment, I would look elsewhere. Truly one of the most disrespectful people I’ve ever met and I guess is still in business because of the limited selection of repair places in the area. Based on the owners non-constructive response to other low-rated reviews, I’m expecting some form of arrogant justification response to this.

Always get a 5 Star service experience at the JVP Service Centre. Have fixed my VHS and DVD players. Repaired a stereo quickly for mum's birthday. Many thanks to the team. Very happy to recommend.

Fantastic service! They are clearly extremely knowledgeable and thorough. They were able to retrieve a tape that an old VCR swallowed, and were able to splice the damaged parts of the tape back together. Great tip too, was told to always fast forward and tape all the way and then rewind it back again if it is old before playing it.Highly recommended! Thank you guys again!

Awesome 5-stars for the great team at JVP Service Centre. Thank you for your excellent repairs on my beloved vintage stereogram. Now everything works and it sounds even better than when it was new (circa 1971)! I certainly recommend JVP Service Centre.

Great to find a technician who I can trust to repair my hi fi stereo equipment which I have had for many years now. At the moment I have a Sony belt drive turntable waiting on notification as to if parts are available, hopefully repair will be possible and I will continue to have the listening pleasure of the many record albums I have collected over the years

Have had a long relation with various members of staff via phone and internet (email) before meeting the repair staff themselves in person today. In person dealings with John and his younger colleague were pleasant and prompt. I presented them with 3 tape players in total and their advice was honest on whether to proceed or not with the repairs. 2 units were deemed not worth repairing while the 3rd is under inspection. I highly recommend you deal with them in person as you will get much better service than if you ship your items in and/or communicate via phone or email (as I did). Highly recommended if you like good old fashioned service - face to face. From my contacts with them I can say that they are highly competent and trustworthy. Recommend

I turned in my broken Sony LED TV and after examination by the owner, was deemed not fit for repair. Disappointed, I drove back down to pick it up - but in conversation the owner opted to A) - keep my TV and recycle it himself and B) sell me a refurbished LED TV!I'm very happy with the TV he suggested! Though refurbished (and a little older than the TV that broke) it's light years better and cost a little less than half the amount of money I was going to spend on a new TV.I'm very satisfied with their service. Highly recommended!!

Not at all happy with this company.....They accepted my device for repair and I was told it would be fixed with priority. 1 week later no call backs. After chasing them for an update I got a call back advising they had opened up my AMP but the issue was outside of their skill to fix. In the end all they did was take off the AMP cover, then ring someone to find out if it could be fixed.....in the end it took them a week to get back to me and then charged me $120 for telling me they could not fix it. Pretty expensive for doing nothing.

Outstanding customer service despite being a very busy supplier. Very understanding and bent over backwards to help find the problem with my Yamaha amp that we 15yrs old. Returned calls regularly and very respectful and fair with pricing. Thanks John. Thanks Maria.
