OPM Prozesky Bird Sanctuary
Sadly , the part next to thr sewerage works is very unkempt and run down. Lovely bird sigtings though. The roads are very bumpy and washed out in many places making it almost impassable for normal cars. Some of the hides are badly tusted away and dangerous to enter.Apart from the rotten infrastructure, it's still scenic and many interesting water fowl can be seen.

Love it! Great for all kind of water birds, sometimes you can also spot Cape Clawless Otters or water monitors. It's next to the wastewater treatment plant, so bad smells are sometimes part of the deal.

Nice cool Park, you can drive through watching birds singing nicely, watching water flowing in the river, smelling water, you can also take your family and have a braai at Prozesky, save cool and watch different colors of flowers.

The one bird hide has potential, the other one is useless since it's overgrown. It is possible to drive with a Polo but it's difficult. Place itself has beautiful sounds especially when the wind blows.

Truly Horrible Place. It smells awfully everywhere. I bet the sewage facilty next to it lets all their dump into the waters here. The paths are completely overgrown.

OPM Prozesky Bird Sanctuary
Great place for birding, but wretches a lot. The water works in Potchefstroom is a disaster, and it is so sad that incompetence spills over, literally, into this place where birds of all sorts call home. There is also no safe entrance as all the gates are broken and homeless people are constantly walking about. All in all, I saw 15 species, but I would not return because of how I smelled when I got home

So sick of these once beautiful places that are now just dumps. It's so pathetic. Management is pathetic!!! Disgusting!
