Botlierskop Private Game Reserve

What an incredible place! We stayed for 3 nights and it was magical, best part of our 3 week honeymoon around South Africa. We stayed in a tented room and it was so beautiful. The food was amazing, the staff are so helpful and friendly, but the game drives were definitely the best part. Such a fun time!

We had the most wonderful visit. We took advantage of the winter special – the Cape Robin package. We were blown away with the professionalism and friendliness of all of staff and commented on this between ourselves several times - everybody seemed genuinely happy to be working there so all credit to the management! We look forward to visiting again in the future.

We booked a game drive and lunch for a day visit and everything was wonderful. The staff are professional and welcoming, and Nyasha was an excellent guide and very informative about the wildlife. We saw so many different animals including Cheetah, Lion, and Elephant despite it being a rainy day. The food was delicious, keep up the good work, we will definitely be back again.

I stayed here back in 2015 and had the most amazing time. The staff were so incredibly kind. I asked in passing if they had soy milk and they said no, which would’ve been totally fine. The next day, they tell me someone left the reserve to go buy some. I never expected them to go out of their way to do this and yet they did. I was blown away by how kind and friendly all the staff were. On top of that, the reserve is stunning and the accommodations are quite literally perfect. The food was some of the best food I’ve ever had. I would come back here in a heartbeat and have recommended it to anyone considering going to SA.

Game drive was good! Wish we saw more animals than buck, wildebeest and zebra however since these animals roam free we understand and respect that it is a 50/50 chance of seeing them. The reserve itself is beautiful. The ladies at reception however was not the friendliest or the best at communicating. Felt like I was bothering them when I was just trying to pay for the game drive. Overall an ok experience but probably won’t be visiting again. Gerrit our guide was great.

The best experience! The reserve, the nature, the food are excellent. Kai was the best guide in the Game drives - we had such a good time. Horse Back Safaris are highly recommended. We will definately come back

It was my husbands first trip to South Africa and this was the best experience for him. We stayed at Villa 5 at the Bush Villas and had some amazing views over two dams, where the animals came along at night. The villa is beautifully decorated and very well stocked. We had two game drives, afternoon and morning and they were so good. Our guides were amazing and they made so much effort to track down all the animals for us. We saw them all and is something I’ll always remember. Highly recommend.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the bush villas, everything was PERFECT it was the best. I recommend you go do the morning game drive and then the next day try to do the horseback riding where you can see animals much more up close. The horseback riding is for all experiences so if you’ve never done horse riding dont be scared to try! We never did horseback riding but tried it and loved it! Got the best close up on horseback with a giraffe
