This is the best fish and chips in Pretoria East. I don't go here for the atmosphere but for the delicious food. The salt and vinegar ratio is always spot on. There are many options available. Everything here is good.

True fish and chips. They are delicious folks and they really have huge portions for the price. Value for money. On those cold days we're you could need some cozy food. You can't go wrong.

We've heard so many good things. But unfortunately we didn't taste any. The fish was O K. Not the worst but definitely not the best. But the chips? Were terrible. Oily. Old oil smelling. Not nice. It's unfortunate.

As a frequent visiting client for more than 10 years, you will find more than just Fish & Chips; add Russians, Samoosas, Hamburgers, Toasted Sandwiches, Vetkoek and a variety of combos + many other products. Enjoy even an alcoholic refreshment on site!Service is quick and during busy hours, you won't wait more than 15 minutes to get from your spot in the queue (occasionally outside the door) to leaving with your purchase.Note the load shedding schedule to ensure they are operational.Thanks for all efforts of Die Fish & Chips Plek Team !Posted Dec 2022.

Very nice fish and authentic slap chips. However, not consistent with portion size, I ordered an extra large chips (which is supposed to feed 8-10 people) but it’s more like a medium chips (feeding 2-4); there is no specific measurement for various chips sizes.Some days the chips are fresh, other days you can taste the chips are stale and old oil used.

We heard about this shop on Ek is van die Ooste 9n FB when someone asked about lekker Fish and Chips. We drove from Wapadrand to get there. Sadly.. honestly worth the drive. Yes, big portions and the chips were ok. But the star of the show... The fish... Dry Dry Dry. Two very nice guys who man the shop. But why fry fish twice? Disappointed.
