Spoke to the teacher after school to explain my son's learning disability and asked for his understanding and support through the year. He was rude to me and wife and would not offer any sympathy. He said they are busy and cannot give 'special treatment' to 'all' pupils. We did not ask this .He said school will only get harder and if my son cannot cope then he should not be there. He was annoyed with my wife when she tried to explain the medical history and cutt her off while she was still talking. He complety missed the point. You would think that teachers would have the capability to listen and be willing to assist but not this teacher. THIS IS A MAN WHO HAS NO PRIDE IN HIS WORK AND MERELY WAITS FOR HIS MONTHLY SALARY .The way he talked to us , he actually put my wife into tears later and we feel sorry for our son who has to see this teacher daily, if he talks to adults/parents like that then I can only imagine how he treats children..... Someone should teach him that this is a primary school where children are still only children and they need support.

One of the best school in Western Cape. My kids are happy and they maintenance the school very well. Its not easy to get them in, if u are not living very close to the school.

My son is Gr1 this year and hopefully next year, my youngest will also be Gr1 at Edgemead Primary.We applied in 2021 for the 2022 academic year and due to personal reasons decided to keep my son back another year in GrR, as his birthday is also in November. Edgemead Primary was very friendly and assisted us with keeping our deposit and placement for the 2023 academic year.So far, I've only received friendly, positive and fast responses on all of my queries and I'm looking forward to the rest of the year(s), for hopefully both of my sons.
