Praise must be given where praise is due! I had an 8am appointment for my license renewal and was tended to almost immediately upon opening.The staff knew their business and did their best to make sure everyone who was there was processed speedily. Queue management for License renewal from the initial queue outside to the filling in of forms and eye tests were all exemplary. Very happy with how everything went. Was out of there in an hour tops.I was sanitised a total of 3 times in the hour. Every time there was an exchange of paper between me and the employees, they made a point to sanitise everyone afterwards.Tip I got from the security guard: Even if your appointment is at 3pm, you can come at 8am and you will get serviced. Just make sure you have an appointment for that day.Also... carry cash. The speed point machine doesn't work!One last thing: It is a huge centre that provides various government services such as Home Affairs and Social Security (SASSA)- it is rather packed but everyone tries to social distance. So if you're still super nervous about Covid (we all are but some more than others) you might wanna put off going there until later.

Operating hours are wrong. It says 4 is closing time yet I went there at 3 and it was closed. It's annoying cause they don't even attempt to help you. I fail to understand what it closes so early.

I had a problem with the electrical switch on the municipal pole outside my house, i phoned every listed telephome number over a period of two days and nobody answers. Service is not bad it is non existant.

Picking up drivers licence today was a mess - The pick up queue was around the building. The doors are supposed to open at 9am - they were not. Staff do not care. Waited for a few hours and saw 3 people let in. - decided to be efficient and do other tasks - Left and came back just after 3pm and was denied access because the person delivering the new driver's cards wants to go home at 3:30pm????? Seriously how difficult is it to issue a driver's licence? ID cards issued through Nedbank were fantastic.. card took 2 weeks, SMS received and took less than 5 minutes to pick it up. How utterly incompetent is Edenvale DLTC? Now I have to take off a second day off work to fetch my driver's licence. That's 3 days of no earnings thanks to this ridiculous department. 1 entire wasted day to do the renew ... 2nd day wasted because no one was doing their job today for collecting... and now a 3rd day for the second attempt atcollection. -I should charge Edenvale DLTC for my time.

I highly recommend Steph to anyone who is trying to pass their drivers test in order to get their driver's license. She is very good at what she does. Just yesterday I passed my Driver's Test on the first try with 0/50 penalty points! Steph is dedicated and will over prepare you for the test to ensure that you'll pass. I know that I definitely couldn't have done it without her!

I was super impressed at the service I received. I was expecting to spend my whole afternoon there but within 25 mins I had opened my municipal account and was out the door. The gentleman that helped me was awesome.

They're closed during loadshedding.Overall assistance very good.
