SAPS Ocean View Police Station
During the lockdown there were people walking the streets in my area and walking in the mountain. Even going as far as waking their dogs. I called Ocean view police station twice and there were no response.They arrested a lady that was going to the shop at 12pm to go buy electricity, which is essential but these people were walking the streets the entire day.

The police officers are friendly... However, their response time is terrible (most of the time they don't respond or take hours to respond even if you live very close by), Police gives excuses such as not having enough vehicles, changing shifts (which apparently means they cannot respind to people stoning a shop), or enough staff. Police does not stop people that not obeying lockdown laws and overall, don't actually help stop crime. They seem to be unable or incapable of handling break-ins and such (they either never solve the crime, or never respond too the crime). Overall, it's like we don't have police here at all.
