iStore Sandton City Temporary Store (Opposite Nedbank)

Good store, beautiful layout with lots of nice goodies. Beware the peak times because this store is busy. Staff are efficient, friendly and will help sort you out with whatever you need, however would be more beneficial if more products were offered on contracts. Also, upgrades tend to take a long time, but that is mainly due to the networks.

2 issues:1. Accessories here are ridiculously over priced2. The wait times are so long…for the smallest thing you’ll spend hours in a queue. It took 30 min just to collect a device that had been in for repair.I got into the queue to upgrade my contract at 12:18.I was told there was one new contract and one upgrade ahead of me.At around 12:45 I was told I was next in line but no ETA. I left the store and finally got a call at 15:08 saying that it was now my turn… that’s 2 hours and 50 min!!Then the lady on the phone tells me they should’ve just had me leave my documents because they take 48 hours for upgrades… really inefficient service…

This by far was a much better experience than the iStore in Mall of Africa.Staff were friendly, they were all helpful and they could follow through until the end.The technical manager was patient and understanding and gave us a good Trade in value on my wife and my phone. He said our phones were in great condition.The Manager of the store was polite and greeted and directed to the relevant team.Good service would highly recommend

Perhaps the most shocking of a very unpleasant visit is finding out istore (core group) do NOT recycle any products. They have halted their recycle program (if they ever actually had one) and do not offer any solutions to disposing of apple products safely. Don’t let their online solutions fool you as they did me. They do not offer this service.From an avid apple products user I feel disgusted.

This has to go down as the worst possible experience after years of dealing with iStores around the country. Clearly there is no one at this store that has the faintest idea of how to run and manage a business properly, sad when you selling a premium brand. On their system it clearly shows that they have stock, but they cannot find any of the two items I am looking for. First they say they cannot get into their stock room as the money collectors are busy there. Then they say they have too many stock items so they do not know where to start looking or where the items are located. We give them 2 hours to look while we continued shopping in the centre. When we returned still no items, and it seemed like they were not interested at all to look further.Unfortunately I did not read the reviews on this store before going there. If I had, I definitely would not have gone there, as it is frustrating dealing with people who are clearly not interested and don't really know how to promote current and future business. Online purchasing for me definitely from now, as most of these people are not competent to serve, which is a shame considering the high unemployment. Clearly there is something sorely lacking.

My experience of iStore Sandton was sad to say the least. They were happy to talk me through a sale with lots of promises, and the condition I made was to help me load microsoft 365 as I am not tech savvy. They did not complete the 365 loading process and offered no solutions after having sold me the microsoft 365 suite. In the after sale service, you are just a number and they want to get rid of you as fast as possible. I won't be back there any time soon.

I visited the Sandton City iStore to purchase an iPad. Upon entering the store, I was not assisted by any of the consultants standing around, eventually I approached one of them to ask about the iPad. He was very uninterested and stood with his arms folded while I had to ask all the questions in order to get any information about the products. I eventually decided to ask another consultant who then told me that she would need to ask her manager about one of my queries, this manager turned out to be the first “consultant” I spoke to.In addition to the lack of service, I wasn’t told about iCare upon purchasing my product and only found out about it after leaving. I thankfully found out from a friend and then went back to the store the same day to purchase iCare.I have been an Apple user for many years and this experience has really put me off, absolutely terrible service from an iStore .

Sibongiseni is extremely unprofessional and untrained. They can't structure simple English sentences. His mannerisms is poor and made the whole experience bad.

I called IStore first regarding a battery replacement, was told go to a store. Went to waterfall only to be told you have to book in your phone can take up to 5 days to get it back because they don’t do same day service there. When I said it’s not possible as I don’t have a back up phone I was the. Advised to go to Sandton City. I went to Sandton City istore and the consultant only told me to go stand in the queue for the service department after standing in the queue I was informed that they clean up the phone and I will need to back up all my information. When I asked the consultant there if he knew of a place I could sit down and charge my phone whilst I wait for backup he said he doesn’t know. So please train all your consultants to give customers helpful information that doesn’t contribute to running around in circles and become an exercise in time wasting.Train them please they desperately need it. I ended up going to the food court to charge my phone as there are plug points there. And had I known I needed to do a backup before coming into the store I wouldn’t have lost half a day of work. For an international brand you really need to improve customer service.
