Hi, my 1st Visit here decided to try out Ocean Basket and I will be Honest want nothing. Service is really poor, I ordered a platter for 1, no questions for any product grilled or fried, I wanted to add more prawns for my guest, no questions for veg or a salad I did ask for the prawns separate, so once our meals arrived waiter next visit to clear the table. Management checked up after we asked for the bill. Food quality, fish was good but the sauce used on calamari was extremely salty, and my guest wanted to have something sweet but changed her mind as nothing else was offered, no after order service and in the shop was a 6 seater and my guest and I.No one else.Trust this will help you make it better.

Ocean Basket Cresta Crossing
We often find Ocean Basket's food offering to be rather mediocre and overcooked. But not yesterday when we went there for lunch. It was during loadshedding, but that did not prevent them from serving freshly prepared and very delicious food. We tried the grilled sea bream with a side of tempura zucchini - WOW! Hugely recommended!!! Thanks to Gloria for great service too.

Quaint, peaceful and all round chilled Ocean Basket. I came in on a Wednesday and it was super quiet. Waiters were friendly and food arrived rather fast

Third time eating here. We had grilled hake and veggies (grilled and stir fried). It was very nice.Much better experience. However, how they justify charging R24 for a glass of milk is beyond me.

Food is always fresh and tasty here. I ordered a cappuccino with cream and it seems their cream was quite sweet. I did enjoy it though but someone who is diabetic may not.Their platter for two sauce was a bit different i usually get a lemon butter sauce but i was not asked what sauce to add. The sauce was a bit grainy but i enjoyed the platter overall with my aunt.

My family went to the Cresta Crossing branch for dinner, the food, the service was very poor. We ordered 2 of the kids platter for R100 was served half a portion per platter and without a sauce. This is our usual order at Ferndale Ocean Basket. Chips was served cold. The waitress forgot to put through one item on the order. The waitress didn't bother to take drinks order, supply condiments, serviettes or check on our table. We had to ask another waitress to place our order for drinks and ask for sauces. The food didn't have much flavour. Two women were allowed to smoke inside the restaurant with 2 kids present close by. The manager who sat at a table eating his dinner facing those women said he didn't see them. The restaurant was empty. This restaurant cannot cope with preparing meals or drinks during load shedding. This branch is not recommended.

What a disaster. First time ever have have rated a place 1 star. Atmosphere is non existent, when we sat down, we told the waitress we were in a hurry. What a mistake. Tables that came in after us were served starters and mains before us, it took 50 min to get 2 calamari and 2 hake and chips. A disaster. We will NEVER set foot back there again.

I came here with my family for a nice dinner but for the second time , dissatisfied. I did not want to come here but my wife said we can always give people second chance in life.I changed 3 different drinks that was on the menu but I was told it’s finished. The food came burnt and wrong.We could not do card payment.It took time before I could rate this place negatively but I will never come back here

Ocean Basket Cresta Crossing
Food was good, service was not the level that I'm used to when visiting this place. Tables were not properly cleared or wiped. When mentioned to the man accepting our payment at the counter, his excuse was that they had a very busy lunch session. I didn't even bother trying to tell him that excuse expired about 2 hours ago because it was already 16h30 and it was really quiet from the time we arrived. Acknowledgement of the issue is your first step to resolving it.
