Ethekwini Municipality Water And Sanitation

To keep my eyes looking in this pictures is what always hurt me most.may be i should dead by now if i was inside the room by time this water tank fallen into my house

The water is off in athlone park and no one got notified about the water going off and there are people in athlone park that didn't even get a chance to fill up thier bottles with water and I have not seen a water tanker come out and supply water for people who didn't get the chance to fill up the bottles with water and again no one got a message or anything amd the water has been off since yesterday's morning how disappointing.

What a pathetic department, been trying for 4 days to get through and no one even answers the phone. Incompetent and a sad state of affairs

We have now been without water since Sunday 13.00. First it is a burst pipe because as usual because nobody knows what maintenance is! Now the Reservoir is clogged because it has also not been cleaned for years! Again, what is maintenance. Then there was a second pipe that burst on Monday. Surprise surprise. It is now Tuesday 12.13 and we still do not have water! Now there is a problem with water pressure to the top of Acacia Crescent. Against, what is maintenance??? Shocking service delivery!

Does anybody even work at the Ethekwini Municipality....People from other countries are laughing at the pathetic service we get. Been trying to call them for days and no response. Water been cut off due to an error on the Municipalities part and was informed it would be restored within 2 hours from first contact. Three days later still not restored. Emails and visits were made but still no action after making promises. This goes against the basic human rights needs as it effects thousands of people. I had to give a 1 star in order to post this comment, else there wouldve been a zero star rating.

What gives any of the municipality workers a right to withold water from us? How dare each and every one of you? You have a problem with your salaries but do things like this? You can't even be trusted with the little you have but you want more? You should feel ashamed to even call yourselves public servants as you only care about serving yourself. We still have to go to work like this and continue on because we appreciate the salaries we get. Some people have studied and have been praying for an opportunity to work at the municipality and be given a chance to create change but here you are disputing overtime and what not. Sies. And then lets not talk about the fact that there is a talent show taking place at the OCC which the municipality is hosting but many many areas in Durban are without water.

I called in that the water meter had burst at my property at 1.17pm. Posting this it's now 16.53pm. All the water is running down the road at a fast speed going to waste when people need it. Spent 31 minutes to follow up my ref.... no answer. Service is pathetic and a waste on taxpayers money.
