Hosts were so accommodating and helpful with our extended stay! Allowed us to book for flexible dates and change plans with little notice. The setting is beautiful and secure, clean and well-kept! Recommend to anyone!

It has a decent view and in a quiet area. WiFi is only in the lounge so be prepared for that. It is self catering and some rooms have a fire place. Nice holiday place if you only want a place to relax after seeing the sights.

What an awesome and amazing stay at Chelaya. I must say I was made comfortable from the day I checked in until the day I left. Michelle and staff you were absolutely great! I attended several functions at Chelaya over the past 12 months. At all times the catering was great. The atmosphere with the beautiful gardens and the small animals around, makes one forget how close and convenient to the city it is.I fully recommend Chelaya for a breather from the hectic and overpriced locations that abound our area

Great place to stay. Nice and clean, safe and secure. Only issue we had is that on the website it cleary states pet friendly and when we arrived the host was not happy we brought our pets but otherwise we had a good stay.

Awesome venue. A step back in time. Absolute tranquility and beautiful scenery. Spent the weekend there with the family and friends and celebrated a wedding. They are very accommodating and the staff a friendly and helpful. Makes you feel like a home away from home.

I attended a wedding here, beautiful place. The pool area is not safe for young children, it could do with security railings. The place have everything you need for a weekend away or a big event.

Chelaya is an absolute gem, a real hidden paradise. We stayed with a group of friends and family for five nights and got married in the stunning gardens! We were looking for somewhere lush, peaceful and a little big magical to share our vows... And we found just that at Chelaya. The owners are the super helpful, the staff are friendly and warm, the cottages are cosy and comfortable... We can't rate it highly enough!

Lovely place! We had a great stay at the Stoney pine cottage. The look and feel of the lodge is elegant but homely. Totally suited our little family. The kids became a little bored, as a recommendation a small wooden jungle gym would be nice, but even without it the friendly ducks and chicken kept the kids entertained. Loved the privacy of our cottage/lodge but knowing management is only a call away was great. Michelle was friendly and the place is well both well lite and secure. Didn't even feel like we are still in The city... awesome stay!!!!

This is a great place to have a place to stay while in the helderberg, also for long weekends or just normal weekends in the summer. There is a pool and a deck with lounging chairs that look out onto a beautiful view. The houses are fully furnished all you need to bring is food and maybe an extra blanket. I have stayed here before and there is a lovely lawn and pond there. It is also situated next to a horse field.
