I bit late with my review. But what a wonderful experience it was to join these masters to make my own knife. This knife is now my main hunting knife. This is really an experience not to be missed. Gawie is a master in what he does and his presentation of the course is extraordinary. You will not believe just how much knowledge is shared in just two days.

For some this may be a dangerous place. Making your own knives is a lot of fun, so you may start spending more money on that. Doing the course is very enjoyable. Gawie and Thinus are very skilled people and help you through the process. This is not a boring course, you learn much, mostly practical work and some theory in between. The course is intense, but it is done in a very relaxed atmosphere. I could not really believe it, but you do end up with a very beautiful knife that you made yourself. This is seriously recommended!

Completed the fixed blade in Feb before covid.Gawie and son Tinus go more than the extra mile in getting through the basic fixed blade course dealing with many finer details learnt over the years of knife making.Thanks to Jeanne for the great lunches and tea time snacks
