This is more a review of the Sani pass. It was a clear day on the way up, bit misty on the way down but absolutely stunning. We booked a guide via the Sani hostel, and tsebo was our guide. He was superb and made the day so much more enjoyable. Really is a bone shaking journey but the views were the best I've ever seen. If you get a chance, do it

Pathetic looking border post. Very filthy. Lacks cleanliness. Not very friendly people around.

Make sure you insist on Covid test at SA border before going up the pass towards Lesotho. If you do not get the test done you will not be allowed to enter Lesotho. The SA border tells you Lesotho will allow you in, this is NOT true

R45 per vehicle entry fee. We had to pay cash. They only asked us for our passports and negative covid results. No other documents. You receive a small letter to complete and hand in when you leave lesotho. Friendly staff. Not much security control at gate. No vehicle inspection.

Closing time 16:00 is not that strict. We came up (from SA) around 17:45 and the allowed us in with couple of cars behind us as well. Officers at the border were OK, not making troubles.

We visited this location back in 2013 and hope to visit this again in the near future. From here you'll have a great view on the surrounding area. It can be very windy and cold, even during daylight so be sure to put on a thick coat. A small restaurant and hotel is present here as well.

Absolutely stunning, worth a trip, car must be able to take some big bumps. Wouks recommended 4x4 with suitable ground clearance as it is very roxky and bumpy. Amazing views definitely worth a visit

We were here before Covid. The trip there from South-Africa was quite bumpy but enjoyable. Great time, we spent there a few hours.

Border was quiet. One officer was quite confrontational. Got escorted to a back room where i was questioned and searched for firearms. Goes without saying, don't try to take your firearm through.Other than that, no complaints. Remember to bring cash to pay to go through.
