Tented Adventures @ Pretoriuskop

We purchased discounted vouchers with friends for a 3 Day midweek break from Tented Adventures in early 2021. The pricing seemed very fair at basically R500 per person per day for accommodation, meals and two game drives per day. In November we arrived expecting that corners would need to be cut to enable the company to provided the services advertised as just a three hour game drive would normaly cost the Tented Adventures price they were asking. What a pleasant suprise awaited us. The staff were exeptionaly friendly and efficient and booked us into luxury tents with very comfortable Queen size beds. They offered to take us for our first game drive on arrival which we kindly declined as this would hold up the other guests as we arrived just on departure time. The evening meals were held under the stars in front of our tents with praffin lamps to give that Out of Africa feeling. Staff attended to all our needs including the chef giving us his recipes. Meals were three course including starter, main meal and pudding which was deliciuos. We expected cost cutting meals but were treated to t-bone steak, sirloin steak and chicken kebabs. A complimentary glass of wine was also included and the bottle was left to finish. The early morning drives were also enjoyable and we arrived back at 09h30 for a decent meal of yoghurt and muesli, fresh fruit and then eggs, toast and something meaty and Coffee which is available 24/7. Our guide Alex was very proficient and able to identify many of the birds, trees and grasses and gave informative information. On the day we were to leave we went for our last game drive and were treate to a cat trick i. e. lion, leopard and cheetah. Brilliant service and highly recommended.

Superb safari experience- we saw the super-seven animals (big-5 plus cheetah and wild dogs) in just 3 days, including mating leopards and a black rhino. Dinners and breakfasts were great as was the service!

Great staff/ tour guides! In the evening you have dinner together with further guests (approx 8 to 10) and nice conversations!Price might be a bit high for the facilities, but anyhow we enjoyed the time very much

I stayed at Tented Adventures on 7 different occasions during 2021 and it's the most incredible value for money and such an awesome company with VERY happy staff! We visited Bezhoek once for a 3night stay and all the other visits were for Kruger/Pretoriouskop even though I live just over half an hour away from Kruger! It's glamping at it's best - I'm not into camping -- so to arrive and you're in a very comfy tent (which you can stand up in) which has electricity, which has VERY comfy beds AND in winter even has an electric blanket on the bed! Then to top it all you don't need to take anything along with you -- you get the most yummy breakfast after your morning drive and then a delicious supper after your afternoon drive! If you're hungy inbetween pop to the wimpy or the shop and get some biltong or you can take along your own snacks BUT we find the food more than enough to enjoy just the 2 meals! The staff as THE MOST friendliest and happy staff I've ever experienced at any accommodation and work flippin hard (they check you in, cook, clean etc)! The Pretoriouskop team of Stefan, Wiseman, Alex, Marvellous, Connie and Fortunate are amazing and i've not ever seen any of them looking stressed or unhappy! One uses the camping ablutions which are super close and have always been super clean! I'm privileged to visit Kruger very often and I love it and staying with tented adventures is an an awesome experience being pampered and then of course you benefit from the 2 open vehicle game drives too! I treated my domestic staff and their kids to a night there for Christmas for a night in December which was an absolute treat for all of us as we had the entire camp (of course I joined them!) !

Tent was spotless and very comfortable. Ablution blocks very clean. Food was delicious and plentiful. Wiseman, Stefan and Fortunate most welcoming. Will definitely come back. Allan and Michelle Nash.

Extremely well run and enjoyable Safari weekend! Would recommend to all> I booked through Book All Safaris" for one nights stay which included two game drives and my transfer from and back to Johannesburg. Very reasonable price and a great level of communication from the operators.>When I arrived I was checked in without issue

Don't expect luxury, the experience is in a tent in the park after all. BUT there is a proper comfortable king size bed in the tent. Everyone we dealt with was really efficient. There are two guys who look after you in camp. One does the game drives and the other the catering. Food was wholesome and plenty. We saw so much game including lion and leopard. Alex, who did our game drives was incredibly knowledgeable about the animals and also plants. Steffan did the catering and is a natural comic without detracting from looking after you. We had an all-round great experience

This was really a treat. The team of Alex and Stefan attended to our needs and always with a smile laughter. Alex our game ranger was very knowledgeable and was a great spotter for game. The food was really nice and we never went hungry.The tents were comfortable and had electricity. There was ample space to stand up and change and walk around in the tent which was an extra bonus.The setup is really nice with personal tables and chairs outside each tent and a coffee station tent with other refreshments available around the clock.

Really nice private camp. The personal and service was perfect. I would not have thought that the food in the camp would be like that - it was just brilliant!The tents were very clean and directly at the fence of the whole camp.Just the bathrooms which are part of the main camp (not the private camp) are not that good, but you have to use them.We stayed for two night, therefore, it was not a big issue.

It was an incredible experience! The attention is very good, the food is very good, the guides know they teach you a lot. Rikson was the best! The camp facilities were in good condition, the bathroom always clean. They could improve the tents bed since they were a bit awkward.
