THE VEGAN CHEF H/O

so far i've tried their mince samoosas, chicken burger & the southern fried chicken, all i can say is WOW.going vegan can be a difficult journey when you miss the things you ate prior to going vegan & not many brands or places get it right. but i was thoroughly happy with my order also due to staying quite a distance away, the order came timeously & did not get cold by the time it arrived.

Ordered from Craighall on Uber Eats app. Upon arrival I was told that the shop had moved. When I phoned the number on the website the lady (the manager) explained that the pickup location is in Sandton. It was very inconvenient since I drove from Randpark Ridge to Craighall just to drive all the way to Sandton. When I got my food it was cold and soggy. I ordered a large chips with my meal and was very disappointed with the amount of chips I received. It was no more than 100g of cooked chips. R54 for such a small amount is shocking. I then phoned the same manager and explained to her that I was very disappointed in all aspects of this purchase. She responded by saying “I will look into it” referring only to the pickup confusion. What bad customer service! Not only did I waste my fuel driving all the way but I had cold, soggy and disappointing food with bad customer service. What a horrible experience! The food in essence was not great either. Could make the same burger at home for a fraction of the price. Would not recommend at all!

I ordered the Double up vegan zingy burgers. It was absolutely delicious. Will definitely go back to the Vegan Chef.

I am SO happy! I took a chance today to see if The Vegan Chef would deliver to my work in Germiston and they did! How lucky am I?! I am always SO impressed with the absolute delicious food from the Vegan Chef and now I get to treat myself to lunch every once in a while at the office too! Well done for making Vegan taste AMAZING

Food is good - no complaints from the various meals I've ordered from them, although they are a bit on the pricier side.Reason for my 1-star rating though is for poor service. They advertise as being open till 18:00 on Saturdays, but were offline from as early as 14:30 on Mr D and Uber Eats today. When I queried this on their Facebook page, they simply deleted my post without a response.

i had bought the sticky ribs as a frozen meal from monument spar and it tasted horrible. i had to ‘revamp’ the ribs to make them somewhat edible. i had paid a lot of money for the food and i am highly disappointed to say the least. will not be buying from this company again.
