Dulini River Lodge

My husband and I have been to Africa twice and visited 8 different safari camps across Tanzania, Botswana and South Africa. While every one has something amazing and unique to offer, Dulini is by far our favorite.There is no detail left unnoticed to make your stay an amazing experience. This camp has only 6 rooms and therefore the attention to their guests is exceptional.Our guide, Mike, is the best guide we have experienced across all our safaris. He is brilliant and with his partner (tracker), Dyke, we saw all big 5 and more within the first 26 hours of our stay. We recognize that this location is excellent for game viewing but combined with their knowledge, it created an unparalleled experience for us. It also helps that this location is on a private concession which allows you to go off-road to follow animals into areas you can’t see in public parks.The facilities and staff are exceptional. This is the best food we have had at a safari camp.The camp mangers, Ben and Monique, are welcoming and make you feel welcome and special yet all of the staff gives you time to be alone and make the experience s as private and personal as you’d like.This is a prime spot for romance as well if you are looking for it . The rooms are decadent with a private plunge pool, outdoor balcony, outdoor and indoor shower with a great tub. There is AC in the room and that’s a first for us.While this is pricey, I highly recommend it if you can afford it.

There are no words I can use to praise Dulini River Lodge enough. My wife and I spent part of our honeymoon here and we were simply blown away by every aspect. The lodge is absolutely beautiful and extremely well maintained. Nothing is left untouched and it really shows. What truly made our stay though were all of the amazing staff. Each and every person felt like long lost friends and we left with such amazing memories of everyone. They truly do look after every single one of your needs and make sure you have a fantastic trip.In terms of game viewing, we saw everything. The guides and trackers (shout out to Eben and Bright who were amazing!!) were all extremely knowledgeable and nice. They constantly worked together over radio to make sure all guests saw all the animals they wanted. We were incredibly fortunate to see the magnificent 7 (Big 5 + Cheetah + Wild Dog) and we will carry those memories with us forever.Finally, the food is simply incredible. There were so many incredible dishes and the wine pairings were always delicious South African wines. Sipho, our butler, is such a gem of a person. My wife has an allergy and is lactose intolerant and they always made sure to make everything accessible to her. There were always dairy free cookies at tea. Desserts were always offered to her in a dairy free option. He seriously took care of everything for us and made sure we always had something to eat or drink. His wine recommendations were always perfectly paired with the food and we can’t wait to try the wines back home.I don’t think the above really does Dulini justice. There simply is no way to describe the incredible experience you will have. We booked a safari for our honeymoon thinking it was a once in a lifetime trip. However, we have already started to talk about when we will be back in Africa for our next Safari and for sure Dulini will be one of our stops - we can’t wait!

My wife and I spent 4 nights at Dulini River for the end of our honeymoon in South Africa. This was our first safari experience and we would like to thank the team for making it such a memorable one.The food, room and game drives were all amazing! Special shoutout to Scott and Colbert, who took care of us on all our drives, and allowed us to see the Magnificent Seven while we were there!Can't wait to be back!

The perfect honeymoon! The service is 5 stars. The property, food, wine, spa services and staff are all impeccable. Our safari ranger and tracker are knowledgeable, warm, and safety- oriented. This experience is truly special and highly recommended. Cannot wait to come back!

This place was amazing and unforgettable. May and Patrick were our guides - they were practically magicians and teachers. At one point, May saw a chameleon in a tree with his flashlight when it was pitch black. Don’t understand how he did that! Positive was an amazing person with the biggest and sweetest heart.The game drives in the morning were so peaceful with coffee, and the evening drives were beautiful with snacks and great sunsets. On our first day, an elephant was right up at our window - literally hadn’t even put down out suitcase and then there was an elephant !I will recommend this place to everyone I know. Thank for a great jacket plus a outstanding vacation ! Thank you Dulini !

I went to Dulini River Lodge with my husband for our honeymoon, and it truly exceeded all expectations. I knew it would be a beautiful lodge and a great safari, but the people are really the best part. We ran into travel difficulties (canceled flight) and they were quick to modify our stay and made us feel so comfortable and welcomed.Every detail of the lodge is stunning and the experience is so well thought out. The food is top-notch! I'm vegetarian and I could not believe what the chef was able to come up with - I want a cookbook! The room is beautiful and feels like a true escape. I've been on safari before, but never on a private reserve and it was incredible how close we could get to the animals. Also, being right by the river allowed for great sightings even just from our room! We spotted a rhino from our plunge pool every afternoon!Special shout out to our tracker, Observe, who has the most amazing bush eye for spotting, and another big shout out to Positive who's the kindest person. We felt so lucky to have Patrick as our guide who is thoroughly knowledgeable and gave us the best experience.If you're deciding between lodges, pick this one. We are eager to come back!

A nice safari experience. Beautiful sighting, as the rangers and trackers are very friendly and professional. Ronnie ronnie is leading the pack in a very funny but professional front service and the clients are eating out of their hands. I have been to mosr of the private game reserves in Kruger, but I did not get the wow effect, but for first timers surely a highlight.Food is balanced and good - only disappointment the Indian evening. Disaster

Luxury and service beyond our expectations! The staff at Dulini River Lodge made us feel as though we were the most important guests there. Our morning and afternoon game drives never failed to amaze us. A very special experience.
