Fine dinning at its best. The decor leave much to be desired however the food is of the highest quality. I will highly recommend this place. The wine is also fantastic. The chef options to choose from is also such a wide variety. Great place to dine.

Father's Day was a disappointment. The food was very small portions and not well presented, not what would be expected from the web page. It was an average meal at above average price. Service was bad. Would I return?... not so sure. Can make a Father's Day meal at home for a fraction of the pice, in better ambience.Apologies for such a blunt review but this was our experience.

I have been so many times. This time dinner. I have tried many dishes and always good. No formal menu Daniel the chef du patron always introduces the dishes with great Belgian flourish and style. Not the cheapest Pretoria restaurant but always worth the experience.

It took me over a decade to visit the only proper French fine dining restaurant in my hometown and what an amazing experience it turned out to be. Thank you Chef Daniel and our lovely waitress as well. Simply brilliant food.

The waitrons were friendly and the drinks tasted amazing. I had the R180 3 course meal. The starter (mushroom soup) was tasty, i enjoyed it. The main meal was nice but I feel it could have been better - it felt like a meal I could make myself. The dessert was deliciousI was unhappy that the waitrons kept refilling our water glasses without telling us that each bottle costed R47! Without giving the option of regular tap water.Take note:• If you choose to sit at the tables outside, it is below a tree whose leaves fall easily. Many of us had leaves in our glasses as a result• I recommend you bring your own bottle of water if you're not prepared to spend that much on water

We felt very welcome and everyone went out of their way to make our time at La Madeleine special. The food is absolutely beautifully prepared and presented. Huge thank you to Daniel and team!
