Suhana's Caterers
My wedding was catered for by suhana herself, polite and very helpful. It's was beautifully set and she went out of her way to make it a success. She was amazing and patient with me throughout it all. Thank you to Sue for an amazing job.

Suhana's Caterers
Worst experience ever. Najma Elibrahim / Suhana's Catering totally destroyed our wedding after full payment and open hearts. Broken decor, cake fell over, wrong flowers, food 3 hours late... just to name a few. May God deal with them. Many event service providers around Durban will confirm what I'm saying, even their own staff.

These reviews are a copy/paste taken from the Facebook appetite group. The owner has blocked the writer of the first review on their page and has not responded to the allegations despite being tagged in it.Currently their Google profile shows that they are temporarily closed however they are still conducting business.1) Hello my dear appetite family.I would like to share some despicable traits of a catering company called SUHANA CATERERS.I attended a function this weekend. Deco and biryani, etc was ordered from them. Paid in full. It was a home function, as the family is not wealthy and the couple worked and saved for one year to make this day special. So much of plans and prep was put into this function. The biggest disappointment was the food, which was delayed and guest had to wait to eat. When the food finally arrived, it was not a mutton biryani as per order, but a baymarie of rice and a baymarie of mutton masala. Mind you not a pot in sight, tho the order was for 70ppl. There was more salad and dholl (who eats dholl with masala biryani) the male present claimed that he upgraded the meal when their was complains about the delay. Guest were not allowed to dish out, the meal was being dished out for them. With about 30ppl still to eat, the mutton masala was finish. Now put yourself in the couple and their parents shoes, you can imagine the embarrassment. The staff present had attitude, claiming they sent food in plates for the old ppl in the house, all our elders have passed on, no one was in the house. Who ever was there was seated at the tables. What broke my heart was seeing the couple cry, and the parents Embarassed and panicking. We all started making calls to see who had biryani to sell to us, unfortunately no one had. Imagine the neighbours, friends went to their house and cooked curries, another fried savouries, behind the marque we lit a fire, thawing chicken, rushing nd cooking on open fire...by this stage we all took out our Eastern wear, to prep n cook. Imagine all the guest is sitting there, this catering ppl start removing the table clothes, over lays, background nd what ever else that was hired from them. Everything under the marque was a mess, the guest was standing in the driveway...I've never in my 50 ever experience such unprofessional behavior, their staff is also so rude, continuously clicking their tongue like we were in their way, like they were doing a favor, instead of they were paid to render the service.i would never wish this on anyone. You know ppl talk, this experience has broken the hearts of this couple, to a point where they no longer want to have a wedding but would rather get registered. What would you do if this happen in your family. How would you feel to see your child crying on a day that should have brought so much happiness. I'm certain this food was the left overs of another function. What Suhana caterers did is a big sin. If Any of you have used them, please tell us about you experience please.2) Used them as caterers for my wedding in 1997 . Based in Newlands West at the time . Empty promises on their cooking ability , charming sales pitch to get the job , demanded full payment upfront. Total denial of any wrongdoing. They changed their name a few times over the years to avoid liability and legal action. Probably have a few names that they use periodically to disguise themselves . A photo of the owners on social media will be a good warning to others. Years later the poor memories of the food lingers on. Fortunately what matters is the strength of the marriage bond …sorry to this young couple …may you be blessed with a long and healthy married life …most importantly
